It remains to be seen if this impacts Dana White’s claim that he will not be offering Cris “Cyborg” a new deal, but the former champ’s apologized for a recent video her team shared out, which dominated headlines.
Earlier this week, “Cyborg’s” camp shared out a video of her confronting White at UFC 240. In the video, “Cyborg” claimed the UFC President had lied about her willingness to fight Amanda Nunes again. The video did not show the entire conversation between “Cyborg” and White, and as it turns out, not all the subtitles reported what White actually said.
So, this is the latest in a series of incidents and issues between White and “Cyborg” over the years, and it will be interesting to see what impact, if any, this has. On Friday, the UFC released an interview with White, in which he announced the promotion would not match any contract offers that come “Cyborg’s” way.
The Brazilian star faced Felicia Spencer at UFC 240 last weekend, and won the bout via unanimous decision. It was the final fight on “Cyborg’s” contract.
