According to a report, Bianca Belair had another WrestleMania 39 plan, and it didn’t include Asuka. Who was her original opponent? Plus, who’s buying the WWE? WNZ has a list of the front runners and betting odds.
Bianca Belair Original WrestleMania 39 Plan
Fightful Select is reporting that Belair’s original WM 39 opponent was Charlotte Flair. This was supposed to set up Flair’s return to the company. In fact, she was supposed to head to RAW, versus going to SmackDown and winning that Women’s title.

There was a buzz that Rhea Ripley was set to face Bianca on the Grandest Stage of Them All. With that said, as per the report, this apparently was never the plan.
Bianca Belair Original WrestleMania 39 Plan – Things Change
In addition, Ronda Rousey’s creative change and taking January off seemingly changed things. The Fightful report notes that as of November 2022, Charlotte was slated to head to the Red brand.
However, when things changed for Ronda, things changed for Charlotte’s return, too. Rousey took time off, and it was decided to place the SmackDown Women’s championship around Flair’s waist.
Things change all the time in the WWE, and the above is a fine example. Even the most well-laid-out plans can be altered.
While Charlotte versus Belair would’ve been a fantastic match, Asuka versus Bianca is sure to tear the WrestleMania 39 house down. Both are incredible performers.
Speaking of the WWE, since Vince McMahon returned to sell the company, there’s been massive speculation on who would snag the sports entertainment conglomerate. WNZ has some betting odds insight, below.
Who’s Buying WWE?
From Super Bowl games to local elections, and everything in between, it seems like you can bet on anything these days, including who will eventually purchase the WWE. In fact, Bookies.com released betting odds for who may end up buying the wrestling promotion.
So, who’s at the forefront? Well, Comcast, an NBCUniversal parent company is the top candidate, according to the website.
Not too far behind in second place is Disney, and then Amazon. Interesting top three candidates.
The Rest Of The Group
Endeavor, the UFC parent company is listed in the fourth spot. This is despite Ari Emmanuel, the company’s CEO, saying during a recent earnings call that the organization is not looking to take on more debt.
Other potential WWE buyers on Bookies.com’s betting odds list include Netflix in sixth place, Liberty Media in the seven spot, and The Field in last place. With that said, there’s one notable potential buyer off the list.
While the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia showed interest in buying the WWE, they did not appear on Bookies.com’s list. However, if they are no longer in the running this may be a relief for some fans and talent.
AEW’s Tony Khan has also shown interest in buying the WWE. Only time will tell whose hands the company ends up in.
Rumor has it that the current price tag for the WWE is $9 billion. The sports entertainment company isn’t only looking for interested buyers but is also starting to negotiate new media right for SmackDown and RAW.
