Cash Wilder and Dax Harwood (FTR) were released of their WWE contracts in April 2020. The tag team became All Elite later that year. Also, with their current deals coming to an end, one-half of the team hinted at a WWE return. More on what the AEW star did, below.

AEW Star Hints WWE Return

Harwood has mentioned that FTR’s AEW deal is up at the end of April. The two will officially be free agents.

Will they stay All Elite or head back to the WWE? They could always work on the indies circuit, too!

With that said, Dax had the internet buzzing recently, when he posted a photo on his Instagram story and Twitter account. There happens to be a sheet of paper in the corner of the original photo, with what appears to be a WWE logo on it.

More interesting than that, Harwood ended up cropping the paper (and the WWE logo) out of the photo and posting it again on Twitter. From the above tweet, fans can see the distinct difference in the two photos.

Is that piece of paper in the corner of the original Instagram story photo a WWE contract? Why crop it and re-post if it is not?

Harwood could be teasing fans. He also could be trying to ignite a bidding war between WWE and AEW.

Regardless, fans will have to wait until after April to see how all this unfolds. With Triple H now in charge of creative, Wilder and Harwood jumping to the WWE does make sense.

Speaking of the WWE, remember back in 2005 when WrestleMania 21 was hosted in Los Angeles? The company came up with some pretty cool movie parodies to promote its flagship event.

Looks like they are at it again! See below for details.

WrestleMania 39 Update

For WM 21, WWE had movie parodies that featured Triple H, John Cena, Booker T, JBL, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and others. Brave Heart, A Few Good Men, Pulp Fiction, and Gladiator were some of the films spoofed.

Now that WrestleMania 39 will be going Hollywood again, looks like the WWE is going to do the same thing. According to WrestleVotes, a Twitter handle that breaks a lot of wrestling news, the company has some interesting film “remakes” on the horizon.

Who Will Be Highlighted?

According to WrestleVotes, the Bloodline faction will do a parody of Goodfellas, the legendary flick about mobsters. In addition, Maryse and the Miz will spoof Top Gun.

Meanwhile, The Judgement Day (including Rhea Ripley) is set for a Stranger Things parody, while Drew McIntyre and the Brawling Brutes will remake the 40-Year-Old Virgin. Lastly, WWE super couple Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins will spoof Batman and Joker.

The movie parody promos went over well with fans back in 2005. It’ll be interesting to see how they’ll be done in 2023.

WrestleMania 39 takes place Saturday, April 1st, and Sunday, April 2nd. This year’s event is in Inglewood, California at the SoFi Stadium.
