Taylor Swift was forced to cancel three planned concerts in Vienna, Austria after a terror plot was foiled there.

If that’s not scary enough, it’s been revealed that a terrorist attack happening at one of her shows has long been Swift’s “biggest fear”!

Terror Plot Targeting Swift Concert Thwarted

Swift, 34, had been scheduled to perform in Vienna on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. However, these shows were cancelled after police reportedly narrowly thwarted an ISIS plot. Authorities have since warned that there could be additional threats.

This could have been very bad. Notice the use of planned terrorist attack.

“With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety,” Swift’s Austrian show promoter Barracuda announced on Instagram.

On Wednesday morning, a 19 year-old suspect was arrested at his parents’ home in Ternitz, which is just south of Vienna. A bomb squad then raided the home and found various chemicals and substances that could be used to make explosives. Hours later, a second suspect was apprehended.

‘The Suspects Were Focused On The Taylor Swift Concerts’

Both suspects had reportedly planned to target Swift’s concert at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium.

“The suspects were focused on the Taylor Swift concerts. We discovered that he was taking action to prepare for the attack,” said Austrian Director General for Public Safety Franz Ruf.

“A clear threat has been averted,” he added.

The 19 year-old suspect is an Austrian national who allegedly pledged allegiance to the Islamic terror group in July. It is believed that he and the second suspect were radicalized online.

U.S. officials familiar with the matter said that both suspects had been under surveillance by Austrian authorities. They were known to be risks to public safety prior to their arrests.

Swift’s ‘Biggest Fear’

At the time of this writing, Swift has yet to comment on this. However, back in 2019, Swift said that her “biggest fear” in life was a violent attack happening at one of her concerts.

Swift said this in the wake of an ISIS bombing of an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England that killed 22 people and injured over 200. She also said this after the mass shooting at Las Vegas’ Route 91 Harvest Music Festival that killed 64 people and injured 413.

“My biggest fear. After the Manchester Arena bombing and the Vegas concert shooting, I was completely terrified to go on tour this time because I didn’t know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe over seven months,” Swift wrote in an oped for Elle as she prepared to embark on her “Reputation” tour.

“There was a tremendous amount of planning, expense, and effort put into keeping my fans safe,” she continued.

“My fear of violence has continued into my personal life,” she added, going on to say that she carries “QuikClot army grade bandage dressing, which is for gunshot or stab wounds.”

“Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I’ve ever had online,” she explained. “You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things.”

‘We Have To Live Bravely’

Despite all of this, Swift said that she still tries to stay positive.

“Every day I try to remind myself of the good in the world, the love I’ve witnessed and the faith I have in humanity,” she stated. “We have to live bravely in order to truly feel alive, and that means not being ruled by our greatest fears.”

We can only be thankful that authorities were able to stop this terrorist attack before it could happen. Next week, Swift will be heading to London to close out the European leg of the “Eras Tour.” Please join us in saying a prayer that those shows end up being completed safely!
