In the world of music, few artists have the kind of connection with their fans that Taylor Swift does.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter has built a reputation for being a performer who truly cares about the well-being of her audience.
This was on full display recently when Swift stopped a performance in Edinburgh, Scotland on her highly anticipated Eras Tour to help a fan in distress.
The incident occurred during a performance of the song “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve.”
In the middle of the tune, the pop sensation noticed a fan in the crowd who seemed to be having some kind of issue. Without missing a beat, she stopped singing but kept strumming her guitar while calling for help.
“We need help right in front of me, please, right in front of me,” Swift sang, pointing with her instrument to the fan in need. “I’m just gonna keep playing till somebody helps them, then I’m gonna keep singing the song.”
After a short time, she asked, “OK, you’re good? Awesome!” before casually diving right back into the music.

Taylor Swift Helps A Fan
This isn’t the first time that Swift, 34, has stopped a performance to help a fan in need. In one such instance in Philadelphia last May, she appeared to interject in the defense of a fan who was having difficulty with security.
“She’s fine. She wasn’t doing anything!” Swift was heard yelling mid-song.
The singer followed up by shouting once more in the direction of the altercation, “Hey! Stop!”
It isn’t just Swift’s actions during her shows, of course, that demonstrate her dedication to her fans. The singer is also known for her charitable work, much of which is focused on helping young people.
Swift has donated millions to causes such as education, disaster relief, and music education programs.
Homeless Issue In Scotland
It’s great to see some good news that you practically expect from a Swift show coming out of Scotland. Especially when that leg of the Eras Tour got off on a sour note.
Prior to her arrival in Edinburgh, the city council began turning homeless people away from hotels and moved them out of the city to make way for tourists who were attending that leg of the Eras Tour.
The incident had nothing to do with the pop star, however.
Swift later expressed gratitude to the city that made it possible to deliver record-setting performances in that part of the world.
“Edinburgh!!! You truly blew me away this weekend,” she said in an Instagram post after her stay there.
“Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row 🤯 and for all the ways you made us feel right at home,” Swift added. “Love you, all 220,000 of you!!!”
The Eras Tour next takes on Liverpool, England on Thursday.
