Kylie Minogue is setting the record straight after weeks of fan speculation linking her to Madonna’s upcoming album Confessions II.
Shutting Down Rumors

Despite the internet convincing itself that a long‑awaited duet was finally happening, Kylie says she’s not on the record.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, the Padam Padam star brushed off the rumor entirely.
She said, “That’s a random thing. There was a rumour I was on her album, but I’m not.”
Even so, Kylie made it clear she’s just as excited as everyone else to hear Madonna’s return to the dance floor when the album drops on July 3.
She gushed, “I’m excited to hear it all!”
Where the Rumors Began
The rumor mill kicked into overdrive after Kylie made a surprise appearance during Madonna’s Celebration Tour stop in Los Angeles in March 2024. The moment – which instantly went viral – saw the pair team up for a stripped‑back performance of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive, and Kylie’s own classic Can’t Get You Out of My Head. Fans took it as a sign that something bigger was brewing behind the scenes.
But according to Kylie, no talks about collaboration have happened yet.
Speaking to People at the time, she admitted she’d jump at the chance to work with Madonna but confirmed nothing has been discussed
She said, “Obviously I would. So, there’s been no discussion, but if it were to happen, that would be great.”
On-Stage Moment
Kylie described their on‑stage reunion as a “humble moment” and one she’ll never forget.”
She said, “That was an incredible night and an incredible moment.”
“A lot of people had been waiting a long time, probably including us, but I thought that was just perfect.”
The performance was a celebration of mutual respect as much as it was a surprise for fans.
Kylie said the simplicity of the moment – no big choreography, no elaborate staging – made it even more meaningful.
She reflected, “It was just two performers, two women, two people that, without having to say much, you can understand some of each other’s journeys.”
“We wanted to lift each other up and celebrate each other.”
Madonna echoed the sentiment on stage, calling it a “privilege” to perform with Kylie and praising her as a “survivor” and a “fighter.”
Kylie later shared a clip from the night on X, writing, “It’s been a long time coming!!! Loved being with you!!!!”
