The object was hurled from the audience as the 81-year-old music legend walked off stage following a performance of Cocaine at Movistar Arena on May 7.

Eric was not hurt. However, he decided to abandon his Before You Acuse Me encore and the rest of the show following the incident.

The 17-time Grammy-winning guitar god rocked Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona, on May 10.

Other Singers Hit

Eric is not the only singer to have been hit while performing during a concert and to abruptly end a show.

A phone smacked into Bebe Rexha’s face during a show at The Rooftop at Pier 17, New York City, on June 18, 2023.

The device was chucked through the air and whacked the 36-year-old star over the head. It caused the Heart Wants What It Wants singer to drop to her knees, clutching her face before leaving the stage.

A Twitter – now called X – user filmed the shocking phone attack and later posted it to the social media platform, with the caption, “Absolutely great show ruined by a fan throwing their phone at @BebeRexha hopefully she is ok after that.”

PopBase said the I’m A Mess hitmaker’s mom said that her daughter “had to get three stitches” following the horrific incident.

Bebe later took to Instagram and posted a selfie. She told fans she was doing well despite the injury, she enjoyed the New York show, and that the incident had not stopped her from carrying on with the tour.

She captioned the shot, “Although the show ended in an unfortunate way it was still an amazing show in my hometown.”

“Thank you so much New York. I love you. The Tour must go on!!!”

Two nights later, Bebe returned to the stage at The Fillmore in Philadelphia. She joked that the crew needed to clean up the stage.

In fan footage shared to Instagram, the four-time Grammy nominee said, “Can we get someone to clean this up. I almost ate s*** like three times. I’m going to push it a little bit.”

“I can’t get another bruise. Are we going to have a good show tonight? Yes we f*****’ are. Will we have people slow us down, Philly? No. Just no phones on my face tonight, please, I beg of you. Thank you, Philly.”

At the end of the gig, Bebe quipped, “We’re almost there, we’re almost there, it’s almost at the end! No phones to the face, thank God!”
