The country music star Zach Bryan is considering himself lucky to be alive after he was in a “traumatizing” car crash with his girlfriend that nearly killed them both.
Bryan Nearly Killed In Car Crash
Bryan, 28, and his 24 year-old girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia (better known as Brianna Chickenfry) got in the car crash earlier this month when they were on the road for his “Quittin Time” tour. Chickenfry took to TikTok last week to reveal how the crash went down.
“Two nights ago, Zach and I got into a traumatizing side-by-side crash,” she began. “It flipped a bunch of times, everything shattered and thank God we had our seat belts on.”
“But there was a lot of blood, and we thought we were saying goodbye to each other,” she added.
Chickenfry went on to say that they both somehow managed to walk away from the crash without any series injuries, despite the blood loss.
“After the ambulance came, he got all stitched up we were like, ‘Oh my god, thank God. It didn’t hit an artery, it was just a huge gash,'” she recalled. “We were okay. We are happy and alive.”

The New York Post reported that despite the terrifying car crash, Bryan and Chickenfry were able to make it to Little Rock, Arkansas for his shows on May 13 and May 14. Once they got back on the bus, however, they were hit with another crisis when one of their cats escaped and Bryan re-injured himself trying to get the animal back.
“Zach tries to jump on her [and] all of his stitches burst again,” Chickenfry recounted. “He is bleeding everywhere. So much blood.”
Luckily, they were eventually able to get the cat back on the bus and leave Arkansas safely. Check out Chickenfry’s full comments on this in the video below.

Remember To Always Buckle Up
Chickenfry later added in another video that she credits her seatbelt with saving her life in this crash. Moving forward, she wants to use her platform to encourage others to wear their seatbelts as well.
“I will be that annoying person. I will spend the rest of my life saying, ‘wear your seat belts,’” she said. “If you get anything from me that I’ve ever posted in my whole entire social media career in the past five years, it’s wear a seat belt.”
Sometimes it’s easy to forget to buckle up, but this just goes to show how important it really is. In the end, it really could just save your life, as Bryan and Chickenfry just learned from experience.

Bryan’s History
Bryan is one of the hottest stars in country music right now. So far, he’s won one Grammy Award, one ACM Award, and four Billboard Music Awards.
Bryan was previously married to Rose Madden from 2020 until they divorced the next year in 2021. He met Chickenfry at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards when she approached him and asked for a photo. They later confirmed that they were dating last July while appearing on the “PanBri Uncut” podcast.
After the car crash, Bryan took to his Instagram Story to praise Chickenfry, saying, “This lady holds the weight up of everyone around her day in and day out.”
“You’re my muse Brianna and I don’t understand how the hell you hold it together when people around you can’t,” he continued. “Thank you forever and always no matter what.”
What happened to Bryan and Chickenfry serves as a sobering reminder of how fragile life really is. Thank God they are both alright, and please remember to buckle up in the future!
