Fans of Celine Dion are getting even more great news as the legendary singer continues to fight for a return to the music scene she adores.

Dion is reportedly in the final stages of signing a new residency deal with Resorts World in Las Vegas, according to TMZ.

The residency is expected to start either in late 2024 or early 2025 according to multiple sources who spoke with the outlet.

“It’s basically a done deal. She’s doing it,” one of the sources declared.

Folks, this is a comeback story for the ages.

Celine Dion Fighting To Get Back On Stage

This comeback is driven by Celine’s passion for performing, despite her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a neurological disorder that causes painful muscle stiffness and spasms.

TMZ’s inside source says that passion is almost exclusively being generated by the singer. She is not being forced into this as a money grab.

“This is all her. No one is pushing her to do it,” they claim. “She has a passion for getting back onstage, and she’s gonna do it.”

That passion was evident to fans who watched the documentary I Am: Celine Dion.

“I’m working hard every day. But I have to admit, it’s been a struggle,” she said of getting back to her fans.

“I miss it so much,” Dion tearfully said of performing. “The people. I miss them. If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. And I won’t stop.”

Just An Amazing Story

Stiff Person Syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and extremely painful spasms. Celine Dion has not been seen performing since being diagnosed with the terrible disease in 2022.

The residency news comes amidst a flurry of comeback reports, however. Dion has been spotted in Paris and will reportedly perform a duet with Lady Gaga during the opening ceremonies of the Summer Olympics.

The two are prepared to perform Édith Piaf’s classic “La Vie en Rose.”

The opening ceremony is set to take place on July 26th and will feature a unique setting along the Seine River, showcasing the city’s iconic landmarks including the Eiffel Tower.

Details of the new residency are scarce at this point, but it seems likely to run shorter than her two previous residencies at Caesars Palace.

Those residencies ran four and eight years respectively and reportedly grossed a combined $681.3 million.

Dion has sold over 200 million records worldwide and won 5 Grammy Awards, having been nominated an incredible 16 times.
