It’s never a dull moment when it comes to country music stars. And just a few days ago, on May 21 at 11:15 p.m., the rising country star Gavin Adcock was arrested in Tennessee for alleged reckless driving and violating the state’s open container laws.

The 26-year-old Georgia native was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol after being pulled over on Interstate 40. After his charges, he posted a $1,000 bond and was released around 4.30 a.m. the next morning, according to The Tennessean.
The rising star recently performed at the kickoff for the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards held in Frisco, Texas, the same show where Alan Jackson received the first Lifetime Achievement award.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Gavin Adcock tangled with the law. The country artist was also arrested in 2023, to which Adcock wrote on X, saying, “Went to jail one time because of a suspended license, sat in there for 10 hours and made friends with my cellmates.”

But there is fortunate news for the singer, as he just reached 1 billion total streams on Spotify, and performed a sold-out concert in Nashville on May 16 at the Pinnacle. Adcock is known for his hits like Deep End, Ain’t No Cure, and A Cigarette.
And even after his unfortunate arrest, the singer is still planning to continue his “Need To” tour in Grant, Oklahoma, on May 24. During his recent two-hour live set in Music City, the artist was described as a “beer-shotgunning, cowboy hat and leather vest-wearing performer,” whose “live show is as impassioned as it is beer and whiskey-soaked.”
With a description like that and his history with negligence, fans will probably be seeing more of Gavin Adcock in the news.
