A first time fisherman has one heck of a story to tell after catching a 300 lb shark. To make this story even sweeter, Kevin Ingram caught the shark on Father’s Day surrounded by his family.
The novice fisherman snagged this catch of a lifetime on Lady Pamela II, a fishing charter boat, off the coast of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in Florida. The boat captain Marc Wyckoff said this type of catch is rare, even for experienced fisherman. “I’ve been doing this 23 years, and like I tell my customers, I can count all the makos I’ve caught on one hand,” Wyckoff said.
