A piece of scum stole $600 from a 93 year old woman’s bra while she was shopping. And now he’s facing retribution and has earned the title of the Worst Person In New York.
Maria Vazquez was in East Harlem with her daughter to get shoes. She had just cashed her pension check. She shoved it in her bra for safekeeping. Then Broyoan Lopez reached into her bra and took her money for the month.
It takes an extra kind of heartless pig to reach into the bra of a 93 year old to rob her. After his picture was widely viewed from the surveillance video, Lopez was identified and arrested.
As you can see in the video below, Maria wasn’t about to be silent regarding what happened. She wants this thug to stay behind bars.
New Yorkers supported Maria not just morally, but financially as well. Donations came in to help out the elderly victim. The owner of the store where the theft took place even paid her rent!
It is heartening to see so many New Yorkers come to Maria’s assistance. There are still good people in this world.
