Lee Bondurant

You can tell a lot about a person’s character by how they help those in need. You know someone has a good soul if they press the pause button to give someone a hand.

One server at a North Carolina restaurant is being praised for going the extra mile for a customer with cerebral palsy.

Lee Bondurant cherishes his independence, but he has limitations. The fifty one year old struggles with feeding himself. His mom helps him with this.

But, when they were dinning at the 42nd Street Oyster Bar in Raleigh, their server noticed Linda Bondurant trying to both eat and feed Lee, so he lent a helping hand. She took time out to feed Lee so Linda could enjoy her meal. Lee was so touched by this act of kindness that she posted about it on Facebook.

“When you dine at 42nd Street Oyster Bar please ask for a server by the name of “FIVE” (a college student) He saw me trying to eat and help Lee. He insisted on helping showing Lee total respect. Let’s me know there are still decent and compassionate people left in our country. Pay it forward for FIVE!”

When most people would turn a blind eye and go about their job, Five really stepped it up and touched the Bondurants. Watch Lee and Linda describe the event in the video below:

That really is rather beautiful and unprompted gesture.

Please share this if you think we need more acts of kindness!
