Royal watchers got a close look at Prince Louis over the weekend when Kensington Palace released photos Kate Middleton had taken of her newborn son. There are a couple details that people are noticing about these adorable pictures.
The Duchess of Cambridge takes very simple and stunning pictures of her children. These pictures of Prince Louis hold true to that form. In the first picture, the newborn prince is cradled by his loving older sister Princess Charlotte. The proud sister is gently giving the baby a kiss on his forehead. To make the occasion more memorable, this picture was taken on Charlotte’s birthday!

In the second photo, Louis is by himself. The newborn prince is dressed all in white and gazing elsewhere in this precious photograph. It was taken a few days before the one with Charlotte.

Serious Royal watchers pointed out a significant detail with Charlotte’s clothes. She is wearing a cardigan that Prince George wore for the Queen’s 90th birthday. Despite what many people assume, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are using hand-me-down clothing.
Kate puts a lot of thought into imagery. Just as she wore the Queen’s earrings and a dress that was a tribute to Diana when she introduced Louis to the world hours after his birth, she included Prince George in this photograph by having Charlotte wear his cardigan.

The Royal Family has much to celebrate. In addition to the arrival of Prince Louis, Prince Harry is getting married to Meghan Markle this month. Prince Louis is reportedly skipping the wedding, but Prince George and Princess Charlotte will have roles in this exciting event!
