Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches seem simple enough to make. All you have to do is put peanut butter and jelly between two slices of bread. The type of peanut butter and type of jelly may vary, but this sandwich is pretty much as basic as it gets.
That’s why it has come as a surprise that a debate is currently raging on Twitter about the correct way to make this sandwich.
Fox News reported that it all started when Twitter user @LexOnTheBeach26 posted a simple question on June 23 as she was trying to settle a discussion.
“What is the proper way to make a PB & J? RT for: bread then peanut butter, jelly on top on peanut butter then bread. Like for: bread then peanut butter, jelly on other piece of bread and place together,” she asked.

Personally, mixing peanut butter and jelly in a bowl before adding it to the bread is something I’ve never heard of. I’m in favor of peanut butter on one side, jelly on the other.
