The Hollywood star Whoopi Goldberg is speaking out this week to give fans an update on the making of Sister Act 3.
Sister Act 3 Is ‘Still On The Way’
“It’s still on the way! It’s percolating,” Goldberg, 68, told People Magazine on Wednesday. “They have not said, ‘We’re over you and this movie.'”
“We’re still in the process of writing the script,” she added.
When asked if she has a hand in that aspect of the production, Goldberg replied, “Yes and no.”
“It’s hard to do everything,” she explained. “And I like to think that I can, but I’ve come to the understanding that I can’t do as much stuff simultaneously, as I’d like to.”
The original Sister Act movie was released in 1992. In the film, Goldberg portrays lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier. The character is forced to go into a witness protection program at a convent after she witnesses a murder committed by her gangster boyfriend. In the convent, she goes by the name Sister Mary Clarence, and hijinks quickly ensue.
Goldberg was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her work in this movie. Check out a trailer for Sister Act in the video below.
