What is Eternity About?

Eternity is in an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, whether it’s on the beaches, in Smoke World, or various other locations.

Joan (Olsen), the protagonist, must make an impossible choice. She must decide whether to spend eternity with Larry (Teller), her lifelong partner, or with Luke (Turner), her first love, who died many years ago and has waited for her arrival for decades.

In the trailer, Olsen’s character comments to Teller’s, “A lot has happened in a week. You died. I died. I’ve just been reunited with both of my dead husbands, and I have to pick where to spend eternity.”

Cast Members

The main trio in Eternity is Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner. The three are locked in a love triangle in the film. John Early, Olga Merediz, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph round out the cast.

Olsen’s most recent appearances on the screen were The Assessment and His Three Daughters. Teller recently starred in Apple TV+’s hit movie The Gorge and has a role in next year’s Michael Jackson biopic, titled Michael. Turner starred in last year’s Apple TV+ series Masters of the Air.
