Hurricane Harvey has been more destructive than anyone imagined. Houston was hit incredibly hard and many people are in life threatening situations.
But, Texas is showing the rest of the country how it’s done. Rather than waiting and relying on the federal government to save them, they are saving each other.
Everyday citizens have taken their boats to help rescue people. They are helping their neighbors, friends and strangers.

Texans are setting a great example for Americans. This is how you pull together. They are saving each other, regardless of race of national origin. That’s what people do when they don’t rely on the government for everything.
