Grossinger’s was among the largest resorts of the Borscht Belt, a nickname for the now mostly defunct collection of resorts in New York’s Sullivan, Orange, and Ulster counties. Other popular resorts in the Borscht Belt were The Concord Resort Hotel, Brown’s Hotel, and Kutsher’s Hotel and Country Club.
