After: The Jennie G. Wing
The now-decrepit building’s namesake, Jennie Grossinger, was born in Austria in 1892; she moved to New York City with her family when she was seven years old. In 1914, the Grossingers bought a farm in the Catskills. In order to make ends meet, the family rented out rooms in the farmhouse to guests visiting from the city.
