For thrill seekers everywhere, we have a first look at another upcoming science fiction thriller. A Rare Breed, which has finished production, is the new British sci-fi thriller with two leading names that fans are already excited for.

Game of Thrones‘ Iain Glen and Shadow of Bone‘s Jessie Mei Li and Danielle Galligan are set to lead A Rare Breed. Along with these amazing names, the film also stars Neil Maskell (Kill List), Conrad Khan (Peaky Blinders), Bronson Webb (Ted Lasso), and Katelyn Rose Downey (The Nun II). It’s the feature directorial debut of Sam Johnson and is based on a screenplay by Callum Henderson.
The debut filmmaker has directed four short films, including Earthy Encounters, a love letter to early Spielberg. “Sam reminds me of a young Colin Trevorrow and has the skill and vision to be a generational talent,” said Architect’s Calum Gray to Variety. “He is an immersive world builder, totally audience-facing, and has razor-sharp commercial instincts.”

So what should you expect when watching A Rare Breed? The film will follow two hikers, Mia (Li) and Erin (Galligan), who stumble across a log cabin in the wilderness where veteran Ray (Glen) lives, and where he apparently holds a young girl hostage. Mia and Erin try to help the little girl, but Chloe is not what she seems. Along with this, the girls are attacked by a group of mercenaries as part of a bigger conflict.
The exhilarating plot seems like the perfect movie to add to your viewing list if you want something supernatural, thrilling, and captivating. And with the leads being associated with thrilling and science-fiction settings, this could become a hit for the genre.
