SNL has several jokes that tend to walk the line between funny and controversial. And some cross the line a little too much. The most recent one was during the Saturday, November 8 show, where Nikki Glaser shocked with controversial jokes about trafficking and pedophilia.
Of course, it’s easy to see that these topics shouldn’t be used as jokes. Unfortunately, the 41-year-old comedian, who hosted the show, decided it was appropriate during her 8-minute monologue. Although the comedian is known for not holding back on her comedy, it clearly rubbed viewers the wrong way.

During the monologue, the comedian delivered a provocative monologue filled with dark jokes about sex trafficking and pedophilia.
“Here I am in New York City: Epstein’s original island,” she said at the start of her stand-up set. Glaser jokes about spray tans and getting your nails painted. But it gets worse as the monologue goes on.
One of the worst moments was when Glaser talked about her 4-year-old nephew, who said he recently wanted to take a shower with her. While the child’s mom, Glaser’s sister, said it was okay, Glaser countered with “What if I molest him?”
Glaser continued with her monologue, “And she was like, ‘Would you,’ and I was like, ‘No! I would never! That’s disgusting!” Glaser exclaimed, before adding, “But that’s what I’d say if I was gonna [do it]. [Abusers] lie. Don’t trust anyone! I don’t even trust myself.”

“How do you become a pedophile? You don’t get to choose what you’re into, dude,” she added. “What if it’s one of those things you don’t know you like until you get in there, and you’re like, ‘Well, this is my thing.’ “
Along with that horrific bit, she also went on to talk about how she’s “obsessed with slavery” because she keeps seeing sex trafficking warnings in women’s public bathrooms. “They’re in every stall. They’re in every world language,” she said. “The English is really tiny, and it’s like, ‘You wish.'”
“Men’s restrooms do not have these signs,” Glaser continued. “I don’t know what signs you have? You have signs that are like, ‘Want a slave? Text Traffick to 69-69.’”
She then went on to talk about her friends, who recently said she had “resting Ghislaine face,” which refers to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison on sex-trafficking charges.

Obviously, this has divided viewers, with many saying that it wasn’t funny and absolutely disgusting to joke about such sensitive and real topics. However, others have defended her, saying that they enjoyed the dark humor.
For those offended by Nikki Glaser, turn off your TV, put on Ms. Rachel or something, get your pacifier and go to bed.

Whether you enjoy dark humor and dark jokes, it’s easy to tell that some of these jokes were in bad taste. And there are some topics that you shouldn’t put in such a light-humored tone. It is also shocking to see someone almost defend pedophilia on live TV.
