Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, has spent the past few months battling cancer. Now, a tragic update has come in about her cancer battle that has her supporters praying for her.
Kate ‘May Never Come Back’
While Kate was previously front and center with husband when it came to their royal engagement, this may no longer be the case moving forward. A source told US Weekly that Kate “may never come back in the role that people saw her in before.”
This insider added that Kate, 42, is “reevaluating what she’s going to be able to take on when she comes back” after she finishes the preventative chemotherapy treatments that she’s been undergoing for her cancer.
This comes after another source warned that Kate may not be making any more public appearances for the rest of 2024.
“Lots of people involved in planning need to know what all the principals are doing a long way in advance,” this royal source told The Daily Beast.
“I am told that Kate’s diary for this year is empty,” the source continued. “There is nothing planned. She may not appear in public for the rest of the year.”
An alleged friend of Kate and William’s explained that the duchess is prioritizing her own mental health during this difficult time.
“The key thing for her now is avoiding any kind of stress or anxiety and just getting on with the business of getting better,” the friend said. “They will bail out and be off to Sandringham the moment school breaks up.”
Kate is also focused on spending time with her and William’s three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. She will be spending time with them and other relatives at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England, according to Page Six.

Kate’s Cancer Diagnosis
Kate shocked the world when she revealed her cancer diagnosis back in March. Kate didn’t specify the type of cancer she’s suffering from. Instead, she simply said that she was undergoing “preventative chemotherapy” and was “in the early stages of that treatment.”
Kate also said that the cancer was discovered when she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
“At the time, it was thought that my condition was noncancerous,” she said. “The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”
Kate went on to say that her focus at the moment is on healing.
“I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body and spirits,” she said.
“Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance, too, as is the love support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you,” she added. “It means so much to us both.”

Kate And William’s Lucky Break
At the end of last month, Kate and William caught something of a lucky break. This happened when King Charles announced that the royal family will be postponing certain engagements in the coming weeks.
They’re doing this because U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak called for a surprise general election in July. Buckingham Palace responded by saying that the royal family will be cancelling any events that “may appear to divert attention or distract from the election campaign.”
This came as good news for Kate and William at a time when they needed it most.
“The announcement that the royals won’t be able to work as much has been unexpected, but it will allow Kate and William to spend more time together,” a source said. “They’ve been reconnecting and are closer than ever.”
Kate is a truly incredible woman and one of the most popular members of the royal family. We continue to pray that she makes a full recovery. We also pray that she is able to return to normal life as soon as possible!
