Saturday Night Live, despite not being funny in 20 years, continues to be on television. They’ve announced a few hosts for their upcoming seasons. Among them are style icon and reality star Kim Kardashian.
Every year SNL sprinkles in non-acting celebrities to host the show. It is pretty standard.
But some people are irked that the style icon and ex-wife of Kanye West is hosting – namely actress Debra Messing. Messing fired some “shade” to Kardashian on Twitter over her hosting gig.

This isn’t the first time Messing expressed disappointment at a non-performer hosting SNL.

Messing is bitter that non-actors more famous than her are hosting, and she isn’t. At least she is honest about it. Still pretty sad, though.

Who Is Debra Messing?
Debra Messing is an actress best known for starring on Will & Grace.
Her resume after that is mostly bit parts in movies and guest roles on TV.
Now she is famous mainly for getting owned on Twitter. Her Twitter account is nothing but Hollywood Liberal brain rot.
At least some of the people she retweets are funny or original, but most of the tweets are little more than riffs on “ORANGE MAN BAD!!!!”
Kim Kardashian’s Philanthropic Work
While Messing tweets nonsense all day, Kim Kardashian is using her enormous fame for good.
From freeing people from prison or advocating for recognition of the Armenian Genocide, Kardashian has advocated for the rights of the dispossessed.
You can dismiss her fame and how she became famous.
However, you can’t deny that she is a very influential woman. Not many people get regular access to the White House and 1-1 meetings with the President.

Odd SNL Hosts Besides Kim Kardashian
Kim K isn’t the first odd host for SNL.
Throughout its 40+ years on TV, the sketch show often brought on non-actors to host the show. Besides the aforementioned Musk and Kardashian, here are few other “famous” non-acting SNL hosts.
Michael Phelps
The Olympic gold medalist hosted SNL. The best sketch was his “Michael Phelps Diet.”
John McCain
The Senator and Presidential candidate hosted SNL and got to poke fun at himself and his political opponents.
