Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, has spent the past few months battling cancer. On Friday, Kate took to Instagram to give the world an update on how her cancer battle is going.

Kate Updates Public On Her Cancer Battle

Kate, 42, began by thanking the public for all of the messages of support that they have sent her. She said that this show of love has “meant the world” to both her and her husband. Kate then gave some updates on her cancer battle.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she wrote. “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”

“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months,” she continued. “On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.”

Kate has long been known to be a hands-on mother to her and William’s three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

Kate Is ‘Not Out Of The Woods Yet’

Much to the joy of her supporters, Kate revealed that she will indeed be attending the Trooping of the Colour tomorrow. However, she wants it to be known that she is “not out of the woods yet.”

“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet,” Kate admitted.

Kate ended her post by revealing what she is learning during this difficult time.

“I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty,” she stated. “Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.”

Kate concluded by once again thanking the public for their support.

Kate Reveals Cancer Diagnosis

Kate shocked the world when she revealed her cancer diagnosis back in March. In her video confirming this, she didn’t specify the type of cancer she’s suffering from. Instead, she simply said that she was undergoing “preventative chemotherapy” and was “in the early stages of that treatment.”

Kate also said that the cancer was discovered when she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

“At the time, it was thought that my condition was noncancerous,” she said. “The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”

Despite this diagnosis, Kate made it clear that she was trying to stay positive.

“I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body and spirits,” she said.
