Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, has been battling cancer for the past few months. Now, sources are saying that she has “turned a corner” in her cancer battle.

Update On Kate’s Cancer

A royal family friend is claiming that Kate’s preventative chemotherapy has been successful so far.

“It has been a great relief that she is tolerating the medication and is actually doing a lot better,” the source told Vanity Fair.

“It has, of course, been a very challenging and worrying time,” the insider added. “Everyone has rallied around her — [her husband] William, her parents, and her sister and brother.”

Kate Isn’t Rushing Her Recovery

Other sources have said that while Kate has been briefed on a new report from her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, the 42 year-old mother of three isn’t in any rush to return to her royal duties. Instead, she is firmly focused on healing and beating this cancer once and for all.

“There is no timeline, and there is certainly no hurry,” another source said. “It will be when Catherine feels ready and when she gets the green light from her medical team. But she will 100% be coming back to work, of that there is no question.”

Christian Guy, executive director for the foundation, said that Kate is “excited” by their new campaign as she “recovers.” Kate launched the foundation in 2021, and early childhood has always been a focus of hers.

Kate Allegedly Seen Out With Her Family

It’s been claimed that Kate was seen out with her family a few days ago. However, no photos from this alleged outing have come out at this time.

Kate has been out of the public eye ever since she underwent planned abdominal surgery in January. She only announced that she had cancer in March after weeks of speculation as to where she was.

“The princess is not expected to return to work until it’s cleared by her medical team. Early childhood will continue to be central to her public work,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson previously said.

William has returned to public life, and earlier this month, he took his first overnight trip since her diagnosis. This trip was to visit the Duchy of Cornwall’s housing project that is focused on helping homelessness.

“Obviously, William feels that Kate is on the mend now, and he has been very relaxed leaving London and seen in Cornwall,” royal expert Ian Pelham said at the time.

Kate’s Cancer Announcement

When she announced her cancer diagnosis to the world, Kate said that she had been advised to undergo “preventative chemotherapy, and I’m now in the early stages of that treatment.” She also said that she had told her and William’s three children: Princes George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6.

“I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body and spirits,” she said. “Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance, too, as is the love support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both.”
