Earlier this week, the singer Justin Bieber worried his fans by posting a series of photos of himself breaking down in tears with no explanation as to why he was crying. Fears for Bieber’s wellbeing quickly mounted, but now, the truth behind his tears has been revealed.
Bieber Breaks Down Over His Love For Jesus
When Bieber, 30, posted the images to social media on Sunday, fans speculated that he was crying about his rumored marital troubles with his wife Hailey Bieber, 27, or his friendship with the embattled rapper Sean “P Diddy” Combs, 54. An insider close to Bieber, however, is now revealing that the singer was simply overcome with emotion about his love for Jesus Christ after praying.
“Justin wears his emotions on his sleeve and it is no secret that he is very religious,” the insider told Daily Mail. “The pictures he put up of him crying may have prompted fans to question his wellbeing, and whether his marriage is on the rocks – but it was about his love of Jesus.”
“It is deep, but he prays and often sheds tears after diving into his faith and though he prays and gives thanks for all that he has in his life, he gets carried away and the emotions that come from it all are released through tears,” the source continued.
“He is not ashamed or embarrassed as he wants people to see his emotions. It helps him out for all that he goes through,” this insider concluded. “He feels that people should be vulnerable, and he is being vulnerable, and he believes it shows some maturity that he once didn’t have. In a word, he thinks it is beautiful.”

Bieber’s Previous Comments About His Faith
Bieber has long been open about his strong Christian faith. Back in 2015, Bieber revealed that his goal in life is to “live like Jesus.”
“Not be Jesus-I could never-I don’t want that to come across weird,” Bieber said at the time, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “He created a pretty awesome template of how to love people and how to be gracious and kind. If you believe it, he died for our sins.”
“Sometimes when I don’t feel like doing something, but I know it’s right, I remember, I’m pretty sure Jesus didn’t feel like going to the cross and dying so that we don’t have to feel what we should have to feel,” he continued. “We have the greatest healer of all and his name is Jesus Christ. And he really heals. This is it. It’s time that we all share our voice. Whatever you believe. Share it. I’m at a point where I’m not going to hold this in.”

Bieber Doubles Down
Bieber doubled down on this in 2020, when he took to Instagram to say that he wants “to love and look like Jesus and point people to his miraculous healing power.”
“As all of you know by now I am a Jesus guy,” he wrote in this post. “I follow the teachings of Jesus and believe he is the Messiah.”
