Whoopi Goldberg struggled to remain on the panel of her ABC talk show The View on Thursday morning. This came during a Hot Topic segment that she found to be deeply uncomfortable.
Goldberg Loses It On The View
On today’s episode of The View, Goldberg and her co-hosts discussed the Norwegian biathlete Sturla Holm Lægreid’s affair confession minutes after winning a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics. Indeed, earlier in the week, Lægreid confessed to cheating on his girlfriend of six months just after he won his medal.
“Stay with me on this,” Goldberg, 70, said at the start of the segment. “I’m confused by all of this.”
“The main thing, Whoopi, he’s with the girl six months and he’s cheating on her already,” her co-host Joy Behar, 83, chimed in to explain.
Goldberg, however, was not having any of it. She shook her head in disgust, making it clear that she had no interest in covering this situation.
“You guys, these men are not hot, they’re in Norway, not Cuba,” said co-host Ana Navarro. “They’re just cold!”
Navarro later turned to Goldberg as the co-hosts debated this topic.
“Stay with us, Whoopi! Stay with us!” Navarro exclaimed.
This only resulted in Goldberg further lowering her head towards the table. The segment only continued to devolve from there.
‘I’m Out…’
Co-host Sara Haines chimed in to say that “it would be a bigger deal if he’d been with her for years” instead of just a few months. Her co-host Sunny Hostin agreed, saying, “He loves her! On the world stage, he apologized for his behavior!”
It was then that Goldberg feigned losing total grip of her sanity. She tried to get up from the table, making it look as if she could not handle being on the panel any longer if they continued to talk about this.
“I’m out,” Goldberg said as she did this.
“Whoopi, you’re excused. You’re excused from this conversation,” Behar said with a laugh. “Take a nap.”
“Please, yes,” Goldberg begged.
Goldberg finally cut the segment off altogether by sending the show to a commercial break.
“You know what?” Goldberg concluded. “I’ll get this all straightened out. We’ll be right back.”

Goldberg Allegedly On Thin Ice
This comes amidst rumors that Goldberg is on thin ice at ABC. According to these claims, ABC executives have been tiring of her nonsense as of late.
Back in October, an insider claimed that ABC executives are so fed up with Goldberg’s nonsense that they are “looking hard at a refresh — maybe even a total overhaul” of The View’s panel.
“Executives are tired of cleaning up her messes,” the insider alleged. “Patience is running out.”
Goldberg has shown herself to be a true loose cannon. It’s clear that there’s no telling what bizarre and unhinged thing will come out of her mouth next.
It appears that Goldberg has no interest in covering any topic that doesn’t involve her bashing President Donald Trump. Perhaps Goldberg might want to have a better attitude the next time her producers on The View want her to discuss a non-political topic. If she doesn’t, Goldberg might soon find herself out of the job.
