The pop star Taylor Swift has found herself being targeted by a deranged ex-con stalker who believes she is the mother of his child. Thankfully, Swift just got some good news from a judge who granted a protective order against this stalker.

Swift’s Terrifying Stalker Incident

Swift, 35, filed for a protective order on Monday. She was then granted a temporary restraining order.

In a filing obtained by TMZ, Swift claimed that Brian Jason Wagner, 45, keeps showing up to her Los Angeles residence uninvited. He then repeatedly claims that she’s the mother of his child.

In a disturbing twist, Wagner even changed his address on his driver’s license to Swift’s Los Angeles residence. Wagner has reportedly been harassing Swift for years. He first started doing so when he was still incarcerated.

Swift claimed in her filing that Wagner showed up at her home on consecutive days last month. There, he asked to see her, telling her security team that he was there to see a friend. When Swift’s security team ran a “criminal history report” on Wagner, they discovered that he had previously been incarcerated.

Wagner’s Chilling Letters To Swift

Swift was later informed that Wagner had been sending her lengthy communications for years. They were full of fabricated stories about Wagner’s involvement in Swift’s personal life.

Wagner eventually began using threatening language in his letters to Swift, which quickly became disturbing in nature. He then began trying to divert mail away from her Los Angeles residence.

Swift claimed in her filing that Wagner “even lied to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to somehow change the address on his driver’s license to my Los Angeles home.”

Swift also alleges that Wagner came to her home three times in July of 2024. On one of these occasions, he allegedly carried a glass bottle “that could have been used as a weapon.”

According to Swift, she has never met or communicated with Wagner. In her court order, she asked that Wagner stay at least 100 yards away from her, her home, her workplace, and car. Thankfully, Swift’s request was granted.

Swift’s Previous Stalker Incidents

Sadly, this is far from the only stalker that Taylor has had to deal with over the years. In July of last year, a 34 year-old man was detained by police in Germany after making threats against Taylor and her boyfriend, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The man was detained after he then tried to attend one of Taylor’s concerts in Gelsenkirchen.

Months before that, in January of 2024, an unidentified man was arrested after he tried to break into Taylor’s New York City apartment.

A spokesperson for the NYPD told Page Six at the time that officers were called about a “disorderly person” who had been attempting to open a door leading into Taylor’s building. Neighbors said they had seen the man snooping around in the area numerous times.

In June of 2023, an Indiana man named Mitchell Taebel was arrested. He was then charged with stalking, invasion of privacy, intimidation, and harassment.

This came after Taebel allegedly repeatedly tried to contact Taylor, both on social media and in person at her Nashville home. He’d also sent threatening letters and voice messages to Taylor, her father, and her backup dancers. In December of 2023, however, the charges against Mitchell were dismissed.

Swift is arguably the most famous pop star in the world right now. While there are many perks that come with that, this serves as a reminder that there are some terrifying downsides to this level of fame.

Please join us in saying a prayer for Swift as she continues to navigate her latest stalker ordeal!
