Last week, we reported that Taylor Swift was left feeling “used” by her former best friend Blake Lively.
This came after Lively allegedly threatened to release a decade’s-worth of private text messages between herself and Swift if the singer did not publicly support her in her lawsuit against the director and actor Justin Baldoni.
Now, sources are speaking out to say that Swift, 35, is officially “done” with Lively, 37. Indeed, it appears that the friendship between the “Shake It Off” singer and the former Gossip Girl star is officially dead in the water.
Swift Is ‘Done’ With Lively
Swift had already taken a “step back” from her friendship with Lively amidst her months-long legal feud with Baldoni, 41. Then, Swift was subpoenaed in the case last week, much to her dismay. Lively’s threats to release their private text messages was reportedly the final straw for Swift.
“There is no recovering from this,” an insider told Daily Mail. “Their friendship is done.”
“What Blake has done was exploit the Godmother of her children and manipulate the public into thinking that she was watching out for her best interests,” the source added.
This was a reference to Swift being the godmother of the three oldest daughters that Lively shares with her Deadpool actor husband Ryan Reynolds, 48: James, 10, Inez, eight, and Betty, five. Find out more about that in the video below.
Swift’s Friend Gigi Hadid Also Cuts Ties With Lively
Swift and Lively’s mutual friend Gigi Hadid, a 30 year-old supermodel, is reportedly following suit by cutting ties with the actress.
“Taylor is done and Gigi is done with Blake, and she has no one to blame but herself,” the insider continued. “Taylor is a girl’s girl and she loves her friends. She will bend over backward for them but when that trust is broken there is no going back.”
Last month, Hadid celebrated her 30th birthday with a star-studded bash in New York City. Guests included Hollywood stars like her ex-boyfriend Bradley Cooper, 50, and the Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway, 42. Though Lively lives in New York City full-time, however, she was noticeably absent from the party. It turns out that this was no accident.
“Gigi’s loyalty is to Taylor,” the source explained. “She is not, and will never be, one of Blake’s ‘dragons.'”
This was a reference to Lively infamously comparing Swift to a “dragon” in one alleged text exchange between herself and Baldoni.
Lively Accused Of Threatening Swift
This comes one week after Baldoni’s lawyers claimed that Lively tried to pressure Swift into issuing a statement in support of her. Lively also allegedly pressured Swift to delete private text messages between the two of them.
“Ms. Lively requested that Taylor Swift delete their text messages,” Baldoni’s lawyers wrote in a legal filing. Insiders allege that these text messages contained details from over a decade of friendship between Swift and Lively.
This letter also alleges that Lively’s lawyer Michael Gottlieb had contacted Swift’s attorney and demanded “that Ms. Swift release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature in Ms. Lively’s possession would be released.”
Swift’s reps reportedly fired back by slamming Lively’s “inappropriate and apparently extortionate threats in at least one written communication” that was sent to Gottlieb.
“It is those communications that [Baldoni’s team] seeks to obtain by way of subpoena, as they would evidence an attempt to intimidate and coerce a percipient witness in this litigation,” Baldoni’s lawyers wrote.

Lively’s Legal Battle With Baldoni
This all started back in December, when Lively sued Baldoni, her co-star and director in the It Ends With Us. Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign against her.
The next month, Baldoni fired back by countersuing. He accused Lively and Reynolds of defamation. Swift got dragged into this when Baldoni’s filing included screenshots of text messages and emails that named Swift. In one exchange, Lively even referred to herself as Khaleesi, a character in Games of Thrones. It was then that she referred to Swift as one of her “dragons.”
Baldoni went on to claim that Swift was present for a meeting about the movie that he had with Lively and Reynolds at their New York City penthouse. A source close to Swift, however, denied this. The insider claimed that the singer only arrived at the penthouse when the meeting was already happening. This insider alleged that Swift had no active part in it.
Swift Has Been Left Feeling ‘Used’ By Lively
Sources told The Mail that Swift was “completely floored” when she was subpoenaed last week. Indeed, Swift is reportedly now “very upset” by this entire situation.
After what she sees as a massive betrayal, Swift has been left feeling “used” by Lively.
“Taylor has been aware that Blake has been exploiting her name for a while now, but this subpoena takes it to a whole new level,” this insider concluded.
