Last month, we reported that the pop star Taylor Swift was being targeted by a deranged stalker who believes that she is both his wife and the mother of his child. Now, sources close to Swift are speaking out to say that the singer is “heartbroken” to be forced to deal with unhinged stalkers like this man.
Swift ‘Heartbroken’ As She Gets Restraining Order
Last month, Swift, 35, was granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) against Jason Brian Wagner. This alleged stalker is a 45 year-old ex-convict from Colorado. This week, that restraining order was extended to July 21.
Swift has alleged that Wagner has repeatedly shown up at her home uninvited. On these occasions, he’s bizarrely claimed that she’s the mother of his child. According to court documents, Swift claims that Wagner even changed his address on his driver’s license to her Los Angeles residence. He’s reportedly been harassing her for years.
An insider close to Swift told Daily Mail that the “Shake It Off” singer “can’t stress about it more than she already does because she doesn’t want it to consume her. But she is heartbroken that she has to deal with this.”
The source went on to say that like many celebrities, Swift has “had to deal with and will likely have to continue to deal with overzealous people out there that want to harm her safety.” According to this insider, Swift “has done and will continue to do everything she needs to do with the courts and her security to be protected and safe.”
The source then said that Swift “believes in her people.” She also “believes in the courts and that they will all allow her to be safe.” The insider added that dealing with stalkers is simply “a bad part of her overall wonderful life.”

Swift ‘Will Always Have To Deal With’ Stalkers
Swift reportedly knows that stalkers are “something she will always have to deal with.”
“She just has to accept that everyone will be doing their jobs and she will be safe, even when people are trying to be sketchy around her,” the source said.
In the end, “the safety of her close family and friends is important as she wants them to be safe when they are in her presence.”
Swift’s legal team has compiled hundreds of pages of emails and text messages sent by Wagner between 2023 and 2025. In one lengthy email that he sent to Swift back in February, Wagner wrote, “Good morning again this email is strictly for my wife Taylor Alison Swift either reproduction or use of this email is not legal it is solely for her to read only and for those who need to know.”
One month before that, Wagner sent an email asking if he could go with Swift to the Golden Globe Awards.
“I’ve been really worried about her… I’m her left hand man,” he reportedly wrote.
Swift’s Previous Stalking Incidents
Sadly, Wagner is far from the only stalker that Swift has had to deal with over the years. In July of 2024, a 34 year-old man was detained by police in Germany after making threats against Swift and her boyfriend, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The man was detained after he then tried to attend one of Swift’s concerts in Gelsenkirchen.

Months before that, in January of 2024, an unidentified man tried to break into Swift’s New York City apartment.
A spokesperson for the NYPD told Page Six at the time that officers were called about a “disorderly person.” This individual had been attempting to open a door leading into Swift’s building. Neighbors said they had seen the man snooping around in the area numerous times. The NYPD subsequently arrested the unidentified man.
Swift is arguably the most famous pop star in the world right now. While there are many perks that come with that, this serves as a reminder that there are some terrifying downsides to this level of fame. We can certainly understand why Swift is both “heartbroken” and terrified as she grapples with these crazed stalkers.
