Last week, we reported that the legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne had passed away at age 76 after a battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Now, fears are growing for his beloved wife Sharon Osbourne, who he was married to for 43 years. Indeed, Sharon’s friends are reportedly “terrified” for her as she struggles to come to terms with Ozzy’s death.

Ozzy Passes Away

Ozzy died last Tuesday at his home in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. Sharon, 72, was by his side, as were their three adult children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. In the wake of Ozzy’s passing, friends close to Sharon are reportedly worried about how the “fragile” widow will cope with the death of the man she has long described as her soulmate.

“[Ozzy] was in so much pain, he had some very bad days,” a source close to Sharon told The Mirror. “He knew for a while that he was on borrowed time really. He was so ill that, in that rock and roll tradition, he could have died on stage.”

“There was no infection that we knew of,” the insider continued. “We all knew that he was going. In the end, he died peacefully at home with all the family with him. It’s a lovely house and Sharon wanted to bring him back from LA.”

The source went on to indicate that Sharon has been struggling in the days since Ozzy’s passing. This could impact plans for a memorial service and burial.

“I don’t know if she will feel strong enough to have a big memorial for all the people who want to say goodbye to him,” the insider added. “We think she may want to bury him privately at home, in the garden.”

Sharon’s Friends Are ‘Terrified’ For Her

Other friends of Sharon’s have been speaking out to express their concerns for her wellbeing as well.

“Sharon is very, very fragile,” one friend told Daily Mail. “She is so thin. She is not well. We are all terrified for her health at this point.”

“This is the heaviest blow,” the friend added. “Ozzy was her life. The whole point of her life was him. They were each other’s best friend. We don’t know what she will do or how she will cope.”

Sharon and Ozzy met in 1970, when she was 18 and he was 22. At the time, he was still married to his first wife Thelma, with whom he shared children Jessica and Louis. Sharon was the daughter of Don Arden, who was Ozzy’s manager.

Ozzy and Sharon married in 1982, and they had been together ever since. Though they had their ups and downs over the years, they remained devoted to one another until the very end.

Ozzy And Sharon Were ‘Soulmates’

In 2022, Ozzy and Sharon celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary.

“We first met when I was 18,” Sharon said at the time. “Over 52 years we have been friends, lovers, husband and wife, grandparents and soulmates. Always at each other’s side. I love you Ozzy.”

Last year, Ozzy gushed over Sharon, calling her his “soulmate.”

“Sharon is like my soulmate,” he said. “Sometimes I love her, sometimes I don’t love her, sometimes I’m angry with her, sometimes I’m crazy about her, sometimes I’m very jealous of her, sometimes I wanna [expletive] kill her. But through it all, at the end of the day, I love her more than anything in the world. Put it this way: I couldn’t live without her. I don’t wanna live without her.”

While Ozzy will never be forced to live without Sharon, she is now facing the sad reality of living without him. We can’t even imagine what Sharon is going through right now as she deals with this unbearable grief. Here’s hoping that with the support of her family and friends, Sharon can come out the other side of this.

In the end, Ozzy would never want his death to break Sharon. Instead, he would want Sharon to keep rocking on, just as she did throughout their decades-long marriage.
