It’s been three months since the TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie’s 84 year-old mother Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped from her home in Tucson, Arizona. Sadly, no trace of her has been found, and she remains missing at this time.
On Sunday, Savannah marked her first Mother’s Day since her mom went missing. In an emotional social media post, Savannah defiantly pledged to “never stop looking” for Nancy.
‘We Will Never Stop Looking…’
Savannah, 54, took to Instagram on Sunday to share an emotional video compilation of clips of Nancy throughout her life before her February 1 abduction.
“Mother, daughter, sister, Nonie — we miss you with our every breath,” Savannah wrote in the caption. “We will never stop looking for you, we will never be at peace until we find you.”
“We need help,” she continued. “Someone knows something that can make the difference. Call 1800CALLFBI. You can be anonymous, and the reward remains available. Please keep praying. Bring her home.💛.”

Savannah Gets Support From Colleagues
Savannah received support from some of her TODAY colleagues in the comments section.
“I love you sg …..Bring her home,” wrote Hoda Kotb. Carson Daly commented, “I will never stop praying.”
“Thinking of you and I continue to pray every day,” added Dylan Dreyer.
“You have painted a picture for the world of the most wonderful and caring mother,” wrote TODAY correspondent Andrea Canning. “Savannah… our hearts go out to you on this Mother’s Day and every day.”
Other famous names in television also offered their support in the comments section.
“Oh Savannah, we have prayed and prayed,” commented the Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt. “May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand. Sending you love and hugs today.”
Natalie Morales, who spent years co-hosting the TODAY show before moving over to CBS News, wrote, “So heartbreaking and so devastating. I’m praying along with you and everyone else that you will find answers and peace soon.”
“We’re all with you, Savannah,” commented ABC’s David Muir.
Nancy’s Abduction
Nancy was last seen on the night of Saturday, January 31. That evening, she had dinner with her daughter Annie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni. They dropped her off at home afterwards at around 9:45pm, and she tragically hasn’t been seen since.
A masked intruder was captured on Nancy’s doorbell ring camera in the early hours of February 1. He managed to cover the camera with some plants before moving forward with the kidnapping.
It has since been revealed that the masked man had been seen in the doorbell ring camera prior to the night Nancy was taken. This indicates that he may have been casing out her home.
Savannah Returns To TODAY
As for Savannah, she bravely returned to the TODAY show last month. She’d spent the previous two months in Tucson desperately trying to find her mother, to no avail. Finally, Savannah decided that she needed to get back to both her job and her family, which includes her husband and two young children.
“I will not fall apart,” Savannah, 54, defiantly told her former TODAY colleague Hoda Kotb just before her return. “I will not let whoever did this take my children’s mother from them, I will not let them take my joy.”
“They will not take my sister’s joy, they will not take my brother’s joy,” she continued. “They will not take our love, they will not take our faith. But our anguish is real. We need help. We need someone to tell the truth.”
Having to celebrate Mother’s day while her own mother remains missing had to have been unspeakably difficult for Savannah. Please join us in saying a prayer for her, and for the return of Nancy Guthrie.
