Earlier this year, we reported that Rosie O’Donnell had fled the United States to move to Ireland. She reportedly did so in response to President Donald Trump taking office for a second time.

Now, O’Donnell is speaking out to launch an attack on the Hollywood star Keanu Reeves. Indeed, she’s claiming that he was her “worst” talk show guest ever.

O’Donnell Rips Into Reeves

O’Donnell, 63, hosted The Rosie O’Donnell Show from 1996 until 2002. While being interviewed on Sam Pang Tonight this week, O’Donnell named Reeves as her “worst” guest, claiming that the former The Matrix star is “not good” at interviews.

O’Donnell interviewed Reeves, 61, back in 1997. Nearly thirty years later, the interview still stands out to O’Donnell for all the wrong reasons.

“I love the guy,” she claimed. “He’s so sweet, he looks gorgeous, I love all his movies, but he would not answer a question.”

“I’d say, ‘So, Keanu, how’s it going? How are you feeling?’ [He’d respond] ‘Good.’ We were live. We couldn’t re-tape,” O’Donnell recalled. “I finally said after three minutes, ‘You know, Keanu, it is a talk show. You have to talk.’”

O’Donnell went on to say that Reeves is still “a lovely man and a good-hearted guy.” She also acknowledged that he “did come back” onto her show in 2001.

“So he got the hang of it,” O’Donnell concluded.

In the 1997 interview, O’Donnell called Reeves out on live television. When he laughed at one of her questions, she fired back by saying, “sorry, but you know it’s a talk show. We’ve got to ask questions.”

“You don’t do a lot of these shows do you? Do you hate them?” O’Donnell asked.

“I’m not comfortable with them, but they’re fun,” Reeves replied. “It’s alright.”

O’Donnell responded to this by condescendingly offering Reeves a snack or a toy.

Reeves In Mourning

O’Donnell chose to bring up this negative memory of Reeves at a difficult time for the actor. Indeed, he is currently mourning his Something’s Gotta Give co-star Diane Keaton, who died six days ago at the age of 79.

On the same day that O’Donnell gave this interview, Reeves appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. There, he remembered Keaton as “an extraordinary, unique, special person and artist.”

Reeves then recalled watching Keaton film a scene with Jack Nicholson in Paris, France for their 2002 movie.

“It was Diane and Jack Nicholson at a table in a restaurant in Paris,” he fondly remembered. “And just watching those two legends not only act, but insult each other.”

“She would turn to Jack and [say], ‘You’re just a… Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.’ And he would just be like, ‘Yeah, you dirty…'” he continued. “And they’re just grinning, but they’re just insulting each other with love. The intelligence, the humor, but just watching them just be themselves and with the history and art that they’ve worked [on].”

Keaton ‘Was Very Nice’ To Reeves

Reeves later told E! News that Keaton was a “total pro.”

“She was very nice to me,” he concluded. “Generous, generous artist and a very special, unique person.”

Reeves has long been known as one of the classiest guys in Hollywood. Though O’Donnell had some complimentary things to say about him, shame on her for kicking him while he’s down by naming Reeves as her “worst” talk show guest while he’s mourning a dear friend.

In the end, this serves as a reminder that America truly is better off without O’Donnell in it. Good riddance, Rosie!
