Rosie O’Donnell has come completely unglued over the sexual misconduct allegations that have been made against Democrat Eric Swalwell. This came after Swalwell resigned from Congress and dropped out of the California gubernatorial race.
O’Donnell Unravels Over Swalwell
In a video posted to TikTok on Tuesday, O’Donnell admitted that she had donated to one of Swalwell’s campaign. She went on to compare this situation to that of the former President Bill Clinton before bluntly declaring that “men suck.”
“Now can we talk a little bit about Eric Swalwell?” O’Donnell said. “I know that guy. In the ‘What kind of way?’ Like, spoke to him on the phone a couple times, donated money to him, I believe. Talked about him in some public appearances years ago about how I believed in him, and his cute little family and two kids, and standing up to all those people when he, you know, berates them for their moralist behavior.”
“And then all this comes out about him, and it’s heartbreaking to me,” she continued. “You know? And I wrote him. I wrote him a little message and I said, ‘You know, Bill Clinton broke my heart, and now you did too.’ You know the conclusion I’ve come to? Men suck.”
O’Donnell went on to claim that men can’t control their “sexual urges.” She lamented that this entire situation involving Swalwell has taught her to never believe in anyone.
“And boy, that Eric Swalwell. You know, teaches you not to believe in anyone,” she concluded. “For me, that’s what it does for me. I don’t believe in anyone. People have images and they sell themselves as one thing, but they’re not that thing. They have complications like all humans do, right? They have addictions, they have impulses, they have frontal lobe disorder, they have narcissism, they have a spoiled privileged upbringing that warps their perspective.”

Swalwell Pledges To Resign
Swalwell has been accused of drugging and raping one woman. He’s also been accused of sexually assaulted one of his staffers. Though he’s denied all of the allegations, he’s admitted to making mistakes.
“Expelling anyone in Congress without due process, within days of an allegation being made, is wrong,” Swalwell said in a statement posted to social media on Sunday. “But it’s also wrong for my constituents to have me distracted from my duties. Therefore, I plan to resign my seat in Congress.”
O’Donnell Flees America
Meanwhile, O’Donnell shocked the world last year when she announced that she had fled America because of Donald Trump’s second presidential victory. Indeed, she revealed that she’s settled in Ireland with her youngest child Clay.
“I’m here in Ireland, and it’s beautiful and warm – not physically, it’s actually quite cold,” O’Donnell said in a video posted to TikTok on March 11, 2025. “Moved here on Jan. 15, and it’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say.”
“Although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child,” O’Donnell later added. “It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally, as well. The personal is political, as we all know.”
O’Donnell went on to indicate that she might actually have some regrets about this move.
“I miss my other kids, I miss my friends,” she whined. “I miss many things about life there at home. And I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country.”

O’Donnell Comes Crawling Back
In February of this year, however, O’Donnell admitted that she had quietly come crawling back to America.
“I was recently went home for two weeks and I did not really tell anyone, I just went to see my family,” O’Donnell said at the time. She added that she “wanted to see how hard it would be for me to get in and out of the country. I wanted to feel what it felt like.”
“I wanted to hold my children again,” the mother of five continued. “And I hadn’t been home in over a year. I also wanted to make sure that it was safe for me before I brought my daughter this summer, where we plan to spend the summertime off from her schooling here with my family.”
O’Donnell could not help but admit that she was “very excited to be home.”
It looks like America isn’t so bad after all, huh Rosie? Go figure!
Given how invested in American politics O’Donnell so clearly is, it sadly would not be surprised if she permanently returns to the U.S. any day now. While it’s refreshing to see O’Donnell bashing Democrats for once, we still don’t want her back on this side of the pond anytime soon.
Good riddance, Rosie O’Donnell!
