Rosie O’Donnell just reunited with her former The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg in New York City. This comes one year after O’Donnell fled America and moved to Ireland due to Donald Trump’s second presidential victory.

O’Donnell And Goldberg Reunite

Goldberg, 70, revealed on a recent episode of The View that she just reunited with O’Donnell, 64, backstage at the Broadway production of Cats: The Jellicle Ball. After saying that she “made another trip” to the Broadway show, Goldberg told the audience to “look” at “who I ran into.”

The segment then cut to a photo of Goldberg and O’Donnell together backstage. They were joined by Chasity “Tempress” Moore, who plays Grizabella in Cats: The Jellicle Ball

“Yes, Rosie was there, she looks amazing,” Goldberg gushed. The reunion came days after O’Donnell showed off the results of her recent facelift.

Co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in to ask Goldberg to clarify if O’Donnell was in Ireland, where she announced that she had moved in 2025.

“[O’Donnell] came back,” Goldberg responded. “She has a one-woman show she’s doing, too. She’s got all kinds of great stuff going on, but she looked amazing.”

Goldberg and O’Donnell also appeared in an official video posted to the Broadway show’s Instagram page. In it, they can each be seen waving their personalized fans from the musical as they sat in the audience.

“Just having a ki at the Broadhurst with some close personal friends,” the show wrote in the caption.

Goldberg And O’Donnell’s History

O’Donnell joined The View in 2007 as the moderator, and she has occupied this role ever since.

O’Donnell had initially joined The View in 2006 as the moderator, replacing Meredith Viera. However, O’Donnell left The View in May of 2007 after a massive on-air fight between herself and her conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who she verbally sparred with over the Iraq War.

O’Donnell later returned to The View as a co-host in 2014. Just a few months later, in February 2015, O’Donnell left The View again to focus on her family.

O’Donnell’s Previous Anti-Goldberg Comments

Though Goldberg and O’Donnell share liberal views, There’s long appeared to be no love lost between them. While being interviewed for the 2019 book Ladies Who Punch, O’Donnell went so far as to describe working with Goldberg as being “the worst experience” she had working in television.

“Some people would say, ‘What’s going on between you and Whoopi?’” O’Donnell recalled. “I was like, ‘Are you watching the show? It’s pretty much right there.’ I have no desire for a public feud.”

“Whoopi Goldberg was as mean as anyone has ever been on television to me, personally — while I was sitting there,” she continued. “Worse than Fox News. The worst experience I’ve ever had on live television was interacting with her.”

“She’s a minority, feminist, smart, funny, groundbreaking legend who is black in America. I’m never going to not have respect for Whoopi Goldberg,” O’Donnell concluded. “But that was a painful experience, personally and professionally.”

O’Donnell has yet to publicly comment on this reunion. Given Goldberg’s positive comments about O’Donnell’s “amazing” appearance, it appears that the former Ghost star is at least trying to make amends in a public matter.

The feud between Goldberg and O’Donnell has long been a prime example of liberal infighting in the media.

Now that they no longer live in the same country, perhaps these two have decided it’s worth it to put this feud to rest. If only they would do the same when it comes to Donald Trump!
