The comedian Roseanne Barr recently moved to Texas after dreaming of living in the Lone Star State for many years. Sadly, this dream nearly just turned into a nightmare when Barr narrowly escaped death after a tractor fell on her.

Barr’s Terrifying Tractor Ordeal

Barr, 72, says that living in Texas has still been a “dream come true.” However, she admits that what happened recently to her there was nothing short of terrifying.

The former Roseanne star was mowing her 30-acre property when her tractor fell on top of her. Barr found herself unable to escape it, as the weight of the machine quickly trapped her.

“I’m doing a lot of mowing. I’ve got a really fantastic tractor out here, and I’m mowing,” Barr recalled to Fox News. “The only problem is I don’t clear the trees quite as good as I should, and I’m always hitting a tree and knocking it over, and it always hits me in the head.”

“So, I’ve had several injuries recently,” she continued. “I had this one tree, I guess it was two nights ago, I knocked it and a great big old branch fell right on my head and trapped me in my tractor. So I knew I had to get out of there, and it weighed about a hundred pounds.”

Barr Fights To Free Herself

Barr went on to say that it took her over an hour to escape. Indeed, she had to move the tree “inch by inch” before she was able to flip it over.

“I was like, ‘Oh, I’m 72 years old,’ but I just said my mighty prayers that always work,” she recounted. “I said, ‘Come on God, I am 72 years and I just want to be able to harness all this strong Russian energy that I know I still have in there if you’re with me.’ And I just flipped it.”

Barr could not help but be “proud” of herself for managing to get the heavy tree off the tractor and get herself free without any assistance. Despite this ordeal, Barr still uses this tractor to mow her 30-acre property all on her own.

Now that’s one tough lady if we ever saw one!

Barr Has No Plans To Leave Texas

Barr had previously been considering leaving Texas to move to Palm Beach, Florida. However, she has since decided against that.

“I love it down there. I really do, and I was considering doing it, but then there was this one day that was so damn hot,” Barr lamented. “And I [was] just like, ‘I think I’d rather burn in hell than live here in the sun.’ It was so hot. I mean, Texas is hot, too, but oh my God. I like to go to a place where you can smoke cigarettes in the summer….I couldn’t even smoke a cigarette over there, and I can’t have that.”

Barr is also staying as busy as ever. She’s preparing for the release of her new documentary Roseanne Barr Is America which is set to come out on Tuesday, June 10. Barr believes that Americans everywhere will be able to relate to the documentary, as her story is the epitome of the American experience.

“I went from poverty to wealth through comedy,” Barr stated. “That’s a typical Jewish-American experience in my generation and a few other generations for minority people that are funny. I think it’s typical, you know.”

Unlike many celebrities, Barr is a down-to-earth woman with a good head on her shoulders. We’re glad that Barr is enjoying her life in Texas, and we hope she doesn’t have more dangerous incidents with her tractor!
