People Are Convinced ‘It Girl’ Sydney Sweeney Is Leaving Her Fiancé

Rumors are swirling that the current Hollywood “it girl” Sydney Sweeney has ended her relationship with her fiancé Jonathan Davino. 

Sweeney Deletes Photo With Fiancé

Internet sleuths have noticed that Sweeney, 27, has deleted a photo of her and Davino, 41, kissing in a celebratory New Year’s post on Instagram.

“The last few days of 2024 will forever be some of my favorite,” Sweeney captioned the since-deleted post on January 2.

However, that post is notably no longer on Sweeney’s Instagram page. Sweeney declined to comment when contacted about this by Fox News. Does that tell us anything?

Sweeney’s Past Comments On Davino

Sweeney has been dating Davino since 2018. In October of last year, she opened up about what it’s like to date a man who is fourteen years older than she is.

“I’m a very successful, independent woman who’s worked really hard,” Sweeney told Glamour Magazine at the time. “I’ve accomplished and bought everything myself, and I provide for myself and my family.”

“I would love to set the record straight,” she continued. “You can be in a healthy relationship with someone and also be very successful without needing the man. We’re teammates. We’re in it together. And we want to see each other succeed.”

Two months before that, Sweeney talked to Cosmopolitan Magazine about why she chooses to keep her relationship with Davino out of the spotlight.

“I think that it’s really important to keep my personal life personal,” she explained. “I became an actor because I loved playing characters. I loved creating stories and jumping in and learning everything that I could about other people. I never really thought that people would be interested in Sydney. I thought that they’d want to see my character, and so I want to keep it about the work.”

Davino Is ‘A Business Guy’

It was initially reported that Davino is a restaurateur. Sweeney, however, shot this down.

“I have no idea where that came from. He’s also not the heir of a pizza company. He’s a business guy. He’s from Chicago. We’ve been watching [this narrative] for six years now and I’m like, ‘What the hell?’”

Davino and Sweeney became engaged in 2022. In December of 2023, however, Sweeney said that she had been far too busy working to plan her wedding.

“I am so busy working! I’m a workaholic and I love it, I love it,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

That being said, Sweeney still had big ideas for her wedding.

“What girl doesn’t create a Pinterest board for their wedding?” she stated. “I started making that when I was like 10. I don’t have a color scheme yet. I’m more of an experience planner, so I’m like, ‘What experience do I want to give people? Are we going on a tropical vacation? Are we doing a carnival?’”

Sweeney is best known for her work on the HBO television shows White Lotus and Euphoria. Indeed, she’s widely considered to be one of the most beautiful women working in Hollywood today. That’s why many men will certainly be happy if she is in fact back on the market!
