We previously reported that the Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban had separated after 19 years of marriage. At the time, insiders were claiming that Kidman was desperately “fighting to save her marriage.” They also alleged that she’d felt “blindsided” by Urban wanting to separate.
Hours later, however, Kidman, 58, officially filed for divorce from Urban, 58. This came amidst rumors that Urban had already moved on with a “new girlfriend.”
Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences” at the time. Now, insiders are speaking out to reveal Kidman’s alleged plan to get revenge on Urban by taking sexy roles.
Sources are telling Radar Online that Kidman’s increasingly sexual love scenes in her movies were a dealbreaker in her marriage. That’s why she’s now out to get revenge on Urban by taking on sexier film parts than ever before.
Kidman’s Sexy Revenge Plan
“Keith made it clear he wasn’t comfortable with the sexual side of her projects, even if he never said outright she should stop working,” one insider alleged. “He worried about how it looked. And he hated the idea of other men touching her, even if it was acting. Nicole kept trying to reassure him, but it got exhausting.”
While Kidman didn’t want a divorce, she’s also relieved to no longer need to tiptoe around Urban when it came to accepting racy film parts.
“Her close friends all saw the toll it took on her. And they’re quietly rejoicing she’s finally free of him,” the insider continued. “They want to see her fully step into her power. The fact that she’s still playing complex, sensual women in their 50s is something to be celebrated. And she needs a partner who recognizes that and is man enough to handle it.”
Moving forward, Kidman is planning to push her boundaries even more now that she’s single.
“This approach is working for her. And she’s not going to let anybody rain on her parade or stop her from using her voice and her body in unexpected ways,” the source explained. “If anything, the end of her marriage to Keith means there are even fewer limits on what she is willing to do for the sake of a juicy role. And she still wants nothing more than to keep topping herself.”
“Knowing Nicole, the projects she picks going forward are going to push the boundaries even more, and without Keith holding her back, she can be as bold as she wants to be,” the insider concluded.
Kidman’s ‘Sexual Reawakening’
This comes one month after another insider claimed that Urban was tired of Kidman’s recent “sexual reawakening” before they split.
“He was tired of hearing her rave about her sexual reawakening and animal attraction to her costars and has been living his own life,” that insider told Radar Online.
Last year, Kidman starred in the erotic drama Babygirl, which landed her a Golden Globe nomination. While promoting the extremely sexual movie, Kidman shocked fans by saying that she was “so turned on” filming explicit sex scenes with her 28-year-old costar Harris Dickinson.
“There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm anymore,'” Kidman outrageously confessed. “I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life … it was almost like a burnout.”

Urban And Kidman Split
Unbeknownst to fans, Urban and Kidman secretly separated back in June. Urban was the one who initiated the split, and he immediately moved out of the family home and into his own residence in Nashville.
Kidman then spent the summer desperately trying to save their marriage. The actress finally gave in and filed for divorce on September 30.
“She didn’t want this,” a source told People Magazine after Kidman filed. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
Another insider told US Weekly. that Kidman “had faith they could work it out” after being “quietly separated for a while.”
“This wasn’t Nicole’s decision, and she is devastated,” the source lamented. “Her trust was lost, and it was too far gone. Nicole had been trying to get them to work on their marriage and did not want this to get out to the public. She didn’t tell many friends what was really going on with them and was holding this in for months.”
