Earlier this week, we reported that the Oscar-winning star Nicole Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban had separated after 19 years of marriage. At the time, insiders were claiming that Kidman was desperately “fighting to save her marriage.” This is because the split was allegedly Urban’s idea.
Hours later, however, Kidman, 58, officially filed for divorce from Urban, 57. This came amidst rumors that Urban had already moved on with a “new girlfriend.” Now, insiders are speaking out to claim that Kidman has been left both humiliated and devastated by this entire ordeal.
Kidman’s ‘Biggest Humiliation’
It hasn’t been officially confirmed that Urban has taken up with another woman. However, if that turns out to be the case, sources close to Kidman are alleging that it would be a tough pill to swallow for the Babygirl star.
“If it turns out to be true that Keith is involved with another woman, it will feel like the biggest humiliation for Nic,” an insider told Daily Mail.
“She does everything she can to keep herself looking young and in shape,” the source continued. “Not only for screen roles but also for Keith. She used to ask him if she’s still hot and, of course, he’d always tell her she was. But he seemed to be growing tired of her looking for reassurance.”
This Kidman insider went on to say that “it’s a sure bet her confidence levels have been severely shaken, especially if Keith has left her for another woman.”
Urban’s Alleged ‘New Girlfriend’
This comes amidst claims that Urban has already moved on with a “new girlfriend.” Indeed, rumors are swirling in Nashville that the alleged girlfriend is a younger woman who is also in the music industry.
“The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business,” a Nashville music insider told The Mail. “It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.”
There is no confirmation as to who this alleged “younger woman” is. However, video has since gone viral showing Urban changing song lyrics that were inspired by Kidman to instead reference his new 25 year-old guitar player Maggie Baugh.
In a clip shared to Instagram by Baugh herself earlier this week, Urban can be seen changing lyrics to his song “The Fighter.” The original line was “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter. Instead, Urban sang “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player” by Urban.
Kidman Is ‘Sad’
Another source close to Kidman has claimed that she has been left “sad” by this entire situation.
“She’s sad and moving on with her life. And making sure her kids are taken care of,” that insider told Page Six.
Kidman and Urban are parents to daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Since separating from Urban in June, Kidman has been caring for their daughters. Her focus has been on “holding the family together through this difficult time since Urban has been gone” on tour, according to the insider.
The former couple has already agreed to a parenting plan that gives Kidman 306 days per year with the girls. As for Urban, he will get 59 days. They will be making major decisions about their daughters together moving forward.
Urban had never been married previously when he and Kidman tied the knot in 2006. Meanwhile, Kidman was married to the A-list Hollywood star Tom Cruise from 1990 until they underwent a bitter divorce in 2001.
