Monday will mark the one year anniversary since the country music star Morgan Wallen was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee. He was slapped with multiple felony charges after he allegedly threw a chair from a rooftop bar in Nashville, which landed right by multiple police officers, nearly hitting them.

In a new interview, Wallen has made a huge admission that shows just how much his life has changed since his April 7, 2024 arrest.

Wallen Sounds Off

Wallen was interviewed on Theo Von’s “Last Weekend” podcast in an episode that dropped on Wednesday. There, Wallen admitted that, first of all, he still isn’t comfortable with fame.

“It’s still weird, and there’s parts of [fame] that I don’t like,” confessed Wallen, 31. “I think anybody who has to deal with that … it’s not ideal.”

“It’s not ideal to go everywhere, and even if you don’t get bothered, you were on edge the whole time because you thought you might,” he continued. “There’s things that you just don’t do. There’s just things you don’t do anymore.”

Hopefully, drunkenly throwing chairs off of roofs is one of those things.

Wallen’s Major Life Change Post-Arrest

When asked if he can still go out to bars without being noticed, Wallen revealed something that will certainly come as a surprise to fans who have followed his career for years. According to Wallen, he hasn’t set foot in a bar since he was arrested at the Eric Church’s bar Chief’s in Nashville last year. In the wake of this incident, Wallen believes it’s “best” that he stays away from bars for the time being.

He’s probably right.

“I mean, if you’re using a bar as a specific example, that’s definitely the best thing for me,” Wallen explained. “I ain’t been in a bar since the last time I was in a bar that everybody knows about.”

While Wallen has been avoiding bars in the wake of his arrest, there’s one activity that he continues to partake in: hunting. Indeed, Wallen knows that he can always escape the downsides of fame when he’s hunting with his friends.

“I can go be with my buddies. I’m in the middle of nowhere, I can be at ease,” Wallen concluded. “I can not stress out. You just find ways to supplement it, I think, you know?”

Wallen’s Saturday Night Live! Controversy

It should be noted that though this interview came out yesterday, it was actually recorded before Wallen found himself embroiled in more controversy last weekend after performing on Saturday Night Live! Though his performances went well, Wallen shocked viewers when he walked off the stage at the end of the show before the end of the closing credits.

On Saturday Night Live!, it’s customary for both the musical guest and the host to stick around as the cast congratulates one another for another completed show while the credits roll. Instead, Wallen walked offstage right after he was congratulated by host Mikey Madison, leaving her alone with the Saturday Night Live! cast members.

Right after he left, Wallen took to his Instagram Story to write, “Get me to God’s country.” Since then, however, sources close to Wallen have told Fox News that he didn’t mean anything by this swift exit. Instead, it was simply an “oops” moment.

“That was the way he entered and exited the studio all week during rehearsal and camera blocking, so he just walked that way after hugging Mikey,” revealed one insider.

After everything that he can be through as of late, we can certainly understand why Wallen would be wary of fame these days. He should be applauded for avoiding bars in the wake of his humiliating 2024 arrest.

God bless Wallen for turning his life around over the past year. Keep up the good work, Morgan Wallen!
