The Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has been one of the most famous stars in Hollywood for decades. In a new interview, Freeman is speaking out to reveal the one thing he does every day at 88 years of age.
Earlier this week, Freeman appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show. There, he reflected on his decades-long career while also talking about what’s next for him.
Unfortunately for Freeman, he also inadvertently sparked fears for his health among fans. Indeed, many social media users claimed that he looked unusually “frail” in this talk show appearance.
Freeman’s Daily Activity
“What’s something you have to do, like every day?” asked host Jennifer Hudson, 44.
Without hesitating, Freeman deadpanned a response that shows just how humble he really is.
“Get up,” he said with a laugh.
“You better tell it!” Hudson exclaimed in response.
“I’m 88, darling,” Freeman continued. Hudson chimed back in to call this “a blessing.”

Freeman Stays Busy
Though Freeman is quickly approaching his 90s, he isn’t slowing down his Hollywood career at all. Indeed, he’s reprising his role of Thaddeus Bradley in the new movie Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. This is the third film in this heist series, and it hits theaters on Friday, November 14.
According to IMDB, Freeman also has two other projects in the works. When he isn’t working, Freeman has interests outside of acting as well.
“You’ve done a lot. So is there something you’re still trying to perfect?” Hudson asked.
“Yes. My golf swing,” Freeman responded. When asked if he’s good at golf, Freeman simply said, “No.”
Freeman went on to say that in both acting and golf, he follows the same mantra.
“You can always improve,” he explained. “There’s always something you’ve gotta work on. So that’s what I’m trying to do.”
Social Media Fears For Freeman
Though Freeman is staying as busy as ever, some social media users felt that he looked frail in this talk show appearance. This has sparked major fears for Freeman’s health online.
“He actually old now I’m sad,” one social media user commented. Another added, “He looks so confused like he didn’t know what he was supposed to do. Overstimulating.”
“He looks like he forgot where he was a few times walking down that line,” a third social media user wrote. A fourth stated, “Morgan Freeman is looking old for real now guys… check on your grandparents.”
Others, however, were quick to defend Freeman, pointing out that he’s seemingly doing great for his advanced age.
“He’s 88! I’m just happy he’s walking without assistance!” wrote one enthusiastic fan.
Freeman’s Health Challenges
Freeman has been open about his health issues in the past. He suffers from fibromyalgia, a condition for which there is no cure. Freeman developed this from nerve damage that he sustained in a car crash back in 2008.
At the time of the accident, Freeman was driving near his home in Charleston, Mississippi when his vehicle flipped multiple times. The crash was so serious that Freeman had to be cut free by emergency workers. The Shawshank Redemption star, who was 71 at the time, was then airlifted to the hospital.
Freeman was subsequently “hospitalized for four days after the collision and his injuries included a broken arm and elbow.” He later said that the crash left one of his hands paralyzed.
Freeman added that his condition causes “excruciating” pain “up and down the arm. That’s where it gets so bad.”
Freeman has had his share of health challenges just like any other person lucky enough to be his age has.
While some are saying that he looked frail in his latest appearance, we think Freeman seems to be doing just fine. If you love Freeman as much as we do, be sure to check out Now You See Me: Now You Don’t when it hits theaters on Friday.
God bless you, Morgan Freeman!
