Law’s History On Moonshiners
Moonshiners is a reality show that follows people who create their own moonshine in the Appalachian region of the United States. The show has been on since 2011.
It’s a great American tradition that goes all the way back to the founding, and fans love the show.
Law was a consistent member of the cast on the series. Indeed, he owned his own distillery, Law’s Choice Distillery, in Virginia. He operated it with his cousin Henry Law, who has also appeared on Moonshiners. The distillery’s website states that the Law family has been creating whiskey for over 60 years.
Law’s official biography on the Moonshiners website explains that he “grew up making and running shine with his cousin Henry, under the tutelage of his uncle, the world-renowned outlaw moonshiner, Amos Law.”
“Henry and Kenny have had one another’s back since before they can remember,” the biography continues. “When prosecutors handed Kenny the choice to rat out fellow moonshiners or go to prison, Kenny took the same path as his cousin, Henry, honoring the code of silence and opting for years in federal prison.”
After Law’s death was announced, his fellow Moonshiners star Amanda Bryant took to Instagram to honor him.
“Last Night we lost a True Moonshine Legend Kenny Law,” she began. “You will be dearly missed, it was an Honor to know you and call you my friend. Rest Easy Big Guy.”
“Prayers for the whole Law family in this time,” she added. “They are all very good friends of mine and my heart breaks for each of them. Rest In Peace Kenny Law Much Respect to you Always.”

Law’s Health Struggles
Henry told TMZ that his cousin died in a local Virginia hospital. He added that Law suffered a heart attack last year. This combined with diabetes, a blood infection, and other ailments led to him being hospitalized for the last month. Henry concluded that Law’s body simply “wore out” due to all of these struggles.
“He was a true outlaw – rebellious, fun-loving, charming, and tough as nails, yet soft-hearted toward those he loved,” Law’s obituary stated. “He truly enjoyed meeting fans of the show in-person, and often remarked how kind and supportive they are.”
Rest in peace, Kenny Law.
