Miley Cyrus reportedly has “no interest” in ever repairing her relationship with her country music star dad Billy Ray. This comes as her siblings have cut him off as well, leaving him with an achy breaky heart. (Sorry, had to do it.)
Miley And Billy Ray’s Estrangement
A source told Page Six that Miley, 32, has not spoken to Billy Ray, 63, “for a long time.” It seems that she has “no interest” in contacting him ever again.
Many felt that Billy Ray looked disheveled and acted bizarrely when he performed at Donald Trump’s inauguration last week. Afterwards, his son Trace Cyrus, 35, took to Instagram to pen a lengthy post in which he stated that he is “genuinely worried” about his father.
“It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you,” Trace wrote. “You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it. … I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon. I love you Dad.”
Cyrus Siblings Unite Against Billy Ray
Three of the four other Cyrus siblings, including Miley, reportedly “signed off “on Trace’s post before it went live. Indeed, it seems that Braison Cyrus, 30, is the only one of Billy Ray’s children that hasn’t turned on him. Trace, Miley, Brandi, 37, and Noah, 25, all appear to want nothing to do with their father.
Why they chose to take their personal relationship immediately to the whole world instead of keeping it “in-house” seems to be a sign of the times, alas.
While Miley stands in solidarity with her siblings against Billy Ray, she is also trying to avoid taking part in “family drama.”
“Miley used to feel overwhelmed by the family drama. She worked hard to remove herself. She’s not about to get involved again,” another insider told People Magazine. “She’s in a great place now…she’s thriving and looking out for herself.”

Miley’s Previous Comments On Billy Ray
Miley has long been open about her strained relationship with her father. In June of last year, she told late night host David Letterman that she inherited “narcissism” from Billy Ray.
“I have a terrible memory because I also inherited the narcissism from my father that I don’t know anything about my siblings except for the part that I was doing,” she said at the time. “It’s true. It’s OK.”
When Letterman asked if Billy Ray was ever Miley’s hero, she replied by saying that this title has always gone to her mother Tish. Billy Ray and Tish divorced in 2022 after 29 years of marriage. That being said, there are still some things that Miley is “grateful” to have inherited from her famous dad.
“My father, I’m grateful for first his genes,” she explained. “My dad has great hair, and I got that. But he also—he has a relationship and a foot on the ground to the real and to nature, and he always did even when he was super famous. I’m grateful for being able to watch him ahead of me. He’s almost given me this map. And there is a map of what to do and what not to do, and he’s guided me on both.”
Next time, she may also want to mention musical ability!

Miley And Billy Ray’s Hannah Montana Days
Miley and Billy Ray spent years starring together on the Disney sitcom Hannah Montana, which ran 2006 until 2011. On it, they played versions of themselves, as they were portraying a famous country music star father and his pop star daughter. It’s sad that in real life, they have clearly never been as close as their characters were on the show.
It’s never fun to see families fall apart in this way. While there’s no telling what exactly led to this Cyrus “family drama,” we can only hope that they are able to put it behind them and reconcile at some point in the future. After all, life is too short to hold grudges, particularly when it comes to family!
