Fans are praying for the American Pickers star Mike Wolfe after he and his girlfriend Leticia Cline were in a devastating car crash on Friday night in Tennessee.
Wolfe In Gruesome Car Crash With Girlfriend
Wolfe, 61, took to his Instagram Story on Saturday to reveal that he and Cline “were involved in a car accident last evening in Columbia, TN.”
The American Pickers star wrote this alongside a disturbing photo of his heavily damaged blue vintage vehicle. Cline, 46, has since revealed on her own Instagram page that her jaw hit the shattered window of the car.
“By the grace of God, we’re both safe and okay,” Wolfe continued. “We are both receiving excellent care and while Leticia is still in the hospital, she is expected to make a full recovery.”
“Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time and we appreciate all of your love & prayers,” he added. “God bless.”
Hours later, Wolfe returned to social media to give fans a brief update.
“It’s been a rough nite but now there’s light at the end of the tunnel,” he wrote. “I truly believe in the power of group prayers thank you to all of you that have sent them to us.”
Cline gave further details about her own condition on her Instagram Story on Saturday night. She did so alongside an image of herself laying in a hospital bed while wearing a neck brace. Wolfe can be seen by her side in the photo.
“Hopefully I get surgery tomorrow,” Cline stated. “Broken jaw (in a few places), broken ribs, sternum, collapsed lung and a lot of swelling on my spine. My mouth will be wired shut but I still got my brain and that’s all that matters.”
Wolfe Closes Antique Archaeology
This comes after a difficult year for Wolfe. Indeed, earlier in 2025, he sadly closed his Nashville storefront Antique Archaeology after fifteen years.
“This place has meant the world to me – not just the brick and mortar, but the people. The community,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “The visitors from all over the world who came through those doors, shared their stories, and reminded me every day why I started this journey in the first place.”
“I’ve been so proud to be a part of this neighborhood, this city, and this chapter of life,” Wolfe continued. “But sometimes, even when something is good, you have to pause and ask yourself where your time is going — and where your heart is calling you next.”
Wolfe went on to explain that he is hoping that closing Antique Archaeology will allow him to pursue a slower pace of life in his home state of Iowa.
“This isn’t goodbye – it’s just a new rhythm,” he concluded. “I’ll forever be grateful for every moment in that Nashville space, and for all of you who made it more than just a shop. You made it home.”
Wolfe Mourns Frank Fritz
This also comes nearly one year after the death of Wolfe’s close friend and former American Pickers co-star Frank Fritz. He passed away on September 30, 2024 due to complications from a stroke that he’d suffered two years earlier.
“Every day we think about Frank on set. He was such a big part of the show,” Wolfe told The New York Post after Fritz’s death. “He was my friend since 8th grade. And a lot of times when we are traveling through a property there are so many things that capture our attention that connect us to him.”
Wolfe also honored Fritz in an emotional Instagram post.
“I’ve known Frank for more than half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny,” he wrote. “The same off-camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself.”
“We’ve been on countless trips and shared so many miles and I feel blessed that I was there by his side when he took one last journey home,” Wolfe concluded. “I love you buddy and will miss you so much I know your in a better place.”
While we’re glad that Wolfe and Cline are alright, it seems that they could be in for a long road to recovery. Please join us in saying a prayer for them both!
