Over the past few months, rumors have been swirling that Barack and Michelle Obama are divorcing. Indeed, rumor has it that the two of them have been living “separate lives” for quite some time.
Now, Michelle has seemingly sent a brutal message to her haters. Indeed, she seems to want to let those skeptical about the state of her marriage know that things are just fine.
Michelle Sends Message To Her Haters
On Thursday, Michelle visited The Academy headquarters in North Hollywood. During this outing, she wore multiple wedding rings. She even paired them with her diamond engagement ring.
Despite this, Barack was nowhere to be found for this excursion. Instead, Michelle was accompanied by her brother and new podcast co-host Craig Robinson. This comes days after Craig revealed that he doubted that Michelle’s relationship with Barack would last when they first started dating.
“And I’ve told this story many times about when you first started dating Barack,” Craig began. “So Mich starts to date Barack, and we don’t know who this guy is, we’re just like, ‘Barack? Who’s got a name like Barack?’ And I’m thinking it’s gonna last a month like most of your relationships.”
Michelle was quick to object to this, saying, “That’s not true. I’ve had many a long-term boyfriends.”
“I wouldn’t call those guys boyfriends,” Craig fired back with a laugh.
Craig went on to recall when he first met Barack with his and Michelle’s late mother Marian Robinson.
“I remember mom’s first thing was, ‘Ooo at least he’s tall.’ Because Mich was usually posting up her other boyfriends,” Craig recounted. “And I said to myself, ‘Well, it’s too bad it’s not gonna last.’”

Craig Bonds With Barack Over Basketball
Craig ultimately bonded with Barack over basketball.
“But the best part of it was, after we met him and she had been dating him for a little while she said, ‘Would you mind Craig, taking him to play?'” Craig continued, referring to Michelle asking him to take Barack to play basketball. “And at first I said, ‘No way, I’m not going to do your ditry work for you. If he turns out to be a bad dude, I’m not going to be the one to say.'”
Luckily for Barack, he could truly hold his own on the basketball court.
“Obviously we had a great time playing,” Craig concluded. “This is what I learned. Aside from the fact that he is tremendously left-handed so he couldn’t go right at all, most importantly, he was a team player, right? He fit in with the people. So I was able to report back to you that everything was fine and the rest was history.”

Obama Divorce Rumors
Rumors have been swirling for months that Michelle and Barack are headed for divorce. These rumors gained traction back in January, when Michelle skipped both the funeral of Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump. Indeed, she was the only former First Lady to miss both of these events.
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” political commentator Meghan McCain said on reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast in January. “I’m not talking about TMZ, I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend.”
“I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true,” she added.
“We’ve heard that for a long time,” replied Tara, who has long covered Washington politics. “Like I just heard that they live separate lives.”

Michelle may indeed have been trying to shoot down these divorce rumors by wearing her wedding and engagement rings. However, if she truly wants to put the rumors to rest, she might want to actually make a public appearance with Barack. In the end, that may be the only thing she can do to truly make the public believe that all is well in her marriage!
