Over the past few months, rumors have been swirling that Barack and Michelle Obama are heading for divorce. These claims allege that Barack and Michelle have been living “separate lives” for quite some time.
Now, Michelle is speaking out to reveal the “deal” that she’s had with Barack when it comes to their marriage.
Michelle’s Bizarre ‘Deal’ With Barack
On Tuesday, Michelle sat down with the former Saturday Night Live! star Amy Poelher for her podcast Good Hang with Amy Poehler. There, Michelle opened up about her 33 year marriage to Barack.
“We have a deal, Barack and I, in our marriage,” Michelle explained. “It started very early and it’s like ‘I can tease you but you cannot tease me.’ So when he does, I’m like ‘Oh oh oh, wait a minute, what’s going on here?’ … but when me, [daughters] Malia and Sasha are all of us together, he doesn’t stand a chance. We mercilessly go after him. Teasing is our love language and I tell him that. I say ‘When I tease you, it’s like a love tap.'”
That certainly doesn’t sound like the healthiest marriage setup, now does it?!
Barack Tells Michelle ‘You’re Next’
This comes days after Michelle revealed the grim “joke” that Barack made after her beloved mother Marian Robinson died last year.
“I guess if anything, with mom’s loss, I think that that — thank God you’re my big brother and I have a husband who’s older,” Michelle told her older brother Craig Robinson on their podcast IMO. “Barack was saying, you know, ‘Well, you’re next up.’ I was like, ‘I’m not really ready to be next up.'”
Michelle reacted to this by snapping back at Barack, telling him “‘You’re next up and Craig is next up.’ I delegate that power to you.”
Needless to say, “you’re next” was likely the last thing that Michelle wanted to hear in this moment of grief. Indeed, she had been left devastated by her mother’s death.
“That’s really when you become an adult, is when your parents are not in that spot of managing and maintaining,” Michelle explained. “It’s a major shift in your life.”
“I don’t care how old you get. Mom and dad are mom and dad,” she added. “Even when I was taking care of mom, I still gotta listen to her. I can sort of boss her around but in the end, she’s my mother.”
Michelle Is Accused Of ‘Really Disliking’ Barack
Michelle launched her podcast with her brother back in March. Since then, she has frequently used it to bash Barack. This has only led to the rumors that she and Barack are divorcing to escalate. Last month, the former Fox News host Tucker Carlson claimed that Michelle “really dislikes her husband, and it’s super obvious.”
“I’m not just saying that to be catty,” Tucker explained. “I think I’m trying to feel compassion for her but her hostility toward the guy is unbelievable.”
Tucker’s fellow Fox News host Megyn Kelly was quick to agree. She pointed out that “everything Michelle says about her husband is negative.”
“I almost never say negative things about Doug,” Megyn added, referring to her husband Doug Brunt. “He’s not perfect but when I think about him, I don’t immediately go to whatever is negative. I go to what’s positive and what I love about him.”

Obama Divorce Rumors
Rumors have been swirling for months that Michelle and Barack are headed for divorce. These rumors gained traction back in January, when Michelle skipped both the funeral of Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump. Indeed, she was the only living former First Lady to miss both of these events.
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” political commentator Meghan McCain said on reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast back in January. “I’m not talking about TMZ, I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend.”
“I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true,” she added.
“We’ve heard that for a long time,” replied Tara, who has long covered Washington politics. “Like I just heard that they live separate lives.”

Michelle has attempted to shoot down rumors that she’s divorcing Barack. However, her latest comments about their “deal” when it comes to making fun of each other will certainly do nothing to put the rumors to rest.
