We previously reported that the former First Lady Michelle Obama was left humiliated when UFC fighter Josh Hokit insisted that she “is a man” during his post-fight interview after his White House UFC match on Sunday night.
Now, this entire situation has gotten even more embarrassing for Michelle, as Hokit has finally broken his silence in the wake of the controversy.
Let’s just say Michelle won’t be very happy about what he had to say…
Hokit Doubles Down
Despite the mass backlash that has come in from the left and even some on the right, Hokit is defiantly refusing to apologize. Instead, the UFC fighter is doubling down by declaring himself to be “courageous” in the face of the backlash that he’s received.
“Strong and Courageous,” Hokit wrote on Instagram in a post that represent his first public remarks since his controversial comments about Michelle.
“The only two reasons I joined this sport,” he continued. “If you exercise those every single day and back them up with hard work, the money and success will follow.”
“I’m not here to be liked. I’m not here to be a role model. I don’t care,” Hokit concluded. “I’m here to succeed. I’ll do whatever it takes to get where I want to go, and if you don’t like it…Come beat me in a fight.”
Boom!
‘Michelle Obama Is A Man!’
The backlash against Hokit all started on Sunday night, when he insisted that “Michelle Obama is a man” during his post-fight interview after his White House UFC match
After defeating Derrick Lewis in the second round, Hokit was interviewed in the Octagon by Joe Rogan. He’d just returned the cage after leaving momentarily to give a necklace to President Donald Trump, who was watching from the sidelines.
“Shout out to Trump for having the [expletive] to put this [expletive] on,” Hokit said in his interview. “If I’m going to say anything, there’s only more person more incredible than the incredible hulk, and that’s my lord and savior, Jesus Christ.”
“Now listen, Alex Pereira, I want to shama (sic) on your mama,” he added.
Hokit proceeded to end the interview by hurling a slur at Michelle.
“And lastly, Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America?” Hokit insisted.
Ouch, that has got to sting for Michelle!

Hokit Receives Backlash And Support
UFC President Dana White has since denounced Hokit’s comments about Michelle.
“I understand that the Obamas are public figures,” White told Time Magazine. “But I’m completely against saying nasty and false things about people’s families. Everyone knows my position on free speech but I hate that kind of nonsense.”
Others, however, have defended Hokit. Once such person is Dan Bongino, a rightwing podcaster and former deputy director of the FBI under President Donald Trump.
“The pearl clutching over a joke, made by a UFC heavyweight known for his post fight stand up comedy acts, is next level hypocrisy,” Bongino wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
“The same people moaning and clawing at their faces over it have absolutely no problem calling President Trump and his supporters ‘nazis,’ and ‘fascists,’ so I’ll pass on the faux outrage. Thanks. And have a splendid day!” he added.
At the time of this writing, Michelle has not responded directly to this controversy. Unfortunately for this former First Lady, it doesn’t look like she’ll be getting an apology on this one anytime soon!
