The First Lady Melania Trump is speaking out to eviscerate the “coward” late night host Jimmy Kimmel. This comes after shots were fired at President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner over the weekend.
Melania Destroys Kimmel
“Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country,” Melania, 56, wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America.”
“People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate,” she continued. “A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.”
Kimmel Bashes Trumps
Days before shots were fired at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Kimmel was slammed for claiming that Melania looked like a “widow.” He said this on Thursday as he held a parody of the dinner, saying that Melania looked like an “expectant widow.”
“Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow,” Kimmel said.
“You know, Melania’s birthday is on Sunday,” he added. “She’s planning to celebrate at home the same way she always does, looking out a window and whispering, ‘What have I done?'”
Social Media Users Demolish Kimmel
Social media users were quick to rip into Kimmel for his comments.
“Kimmel is actually worse than the other ‘comedians.’ You can see the seething hatred on his face toward Trump,” one social media user commented. Another added, “It’s not even inherently funny. You have to be deranged to laugh at that. He’s not broken. He’s evil.”
A third user described Kimmel’s skit as being “sick and tasteless” before asking, “Is it time for ABC to pull the plug on Jimmy’s show?”
Political commentator Link Lauren got in on the action as well.
“Many in the mainstream media have stoked division and hatred for years. Jimmy Kimmel just made a disgusting ‘joke’ about Melania Trump becoming a widow,” Lauren wrote. “After the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and what transpired with President Trump, now they suddenly want to act shocked.”
White House Correspondents Dinner Shooting
The White House Correspondents Dinner had only just started when the suspected shooter, identified as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, opened fire. President Donald Trump addressed the nation two hours later.
“When you’re impactful, they go after you,” Trump said defiantly. “They seem to think he was a lone wolf. We’re not going to let anybody take over our society.”
A Secret Service agent was shot, but is expected to make a full recovery. Trump said that this agent “was shot from a very close distance with a very powerful gun, and the [bulletproof] vest did the job.”
“I just spoke to the officer and he’s doing great,” Trump concluded.
Kimmel has long been known for his obsessive hatred of Trump and his entire family. Indeed, he clearly has one of the worst cases of Trump derangement syndrome of anyone in late night.
After this latest attempt on President Trump’s life, we can certainly see why Melania has had enough of Kimmel’s nonsense. Here’s hoping that Kimmel will give the Trump attacks a rest for at least a little bit after yet another assassination attempt.
