Megyn Kelly is firing back at the Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David. This came after he whined that he is “embarrassed to be an American.”

David ‘Embarrassed To Be An American’

David made these comments in a Variety interview. This came as he was attending the premiere of his new HBO series, Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America. There, he was asked about the recent UFC Freedom 250 event that was held at Donald Trump’s White House.

“It was a travesty, what else can you say about it?” David replied. “It was embarrassing. I was embarrassed to be an American.”

Kelly Fires Back

Kelly, however, was not having any of it. Indeed, the former Fox News host ripped into David on her SiriusXM radio show.

“Speaking of DEI and wokeness, Larry David, whose show I enjoy, I think Curb Your Enthusiasm is so clever and very funny,” Kelly said. “But I just wish he would stop with the political over-the-top stuff. Here he is commenting on the America 250th and the UFC celebration Trump had at the White House.”

“There’s no question Larry lives in either Beverly Hills or Bel Air and is living it up big,” she continued. “And [he] looked at these guys, and had absolutely nothing that he could relate to on this more of a working-class American sport, turned his nose up at it and walked away saying: ‘I’m embarrassed to be associated with them.’”

Kelly’s guest, the venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, responded by saying that the UFC event was on par with recent LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations that were held at the White House under Barack Obama and former President Joe Biden.

“I don’t see a ton of Republicans, after we had [expletive for transgender people] on the White House lawn showing their fake boobs, saying that they felt un-American,” Kelly said. “There’s nothing Joe Biden could do to make me feel un-American. I feel disgusted with his choices.”

Kelly later argued that Hollywood elites have lost their cultural authority.

“We look at these kind of like media folks, actors… they don’t have that power anymore,” she claimed. “I think more people care what Jake Paul thinks than what Larry David thinks.”

UFC Freedom 250

Meanwhile, the UFC Freedom 250 was partly meant to be a celebration of President Trump’s 80th birthday. It boasted an attendance of roughly 4,300 spectators — including 1,200 active-duty service members.

Afterwards, Trump celebrated the success of this event.

“It was beyond anything that anybody’s ever seen in sports,” Trump said.

When asked about David’s comments, a White House spokesperson told Fox News, “This was one of the greatest and most historic sports events in history, and President Trump hosting it at the White House is a testament to his vision to celebrate America’s monumental 250th anniversary. Anyone who finds a problem with that clearly suffers from a severe and incurable disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

We would have to agree with Kelly that the liberal elites of Hollywood like David simply don’t have the cultural power that they used to. In the end, David and his fellow liberal elites don’t have their fingers on the pulse of what the average American’s wants or needs.

If David is that “embarrassed to be an American,” perhaps he should leave the U.S. and find another country to live in.

Good riddance to you, Larry David!
